  Overactive Celebrating

  i have found that since i was denied celebrating holidays as a child, i am like a kid when it comes to celebrating.

  the holidays are so magical to me, and i always celebrate in a big way for all of them.

  it's still new to me and i have so much fun with it.

  I was in the never had christmas or birthdays group and I love them, but that could be I just love any excuse for a party. The first couple were hard though you just have to find a place you feel comfortable.

  My first topic, my struggles with the dubs.

  first and formost i'd like to say thankyou to everyone who has ever posted here before, your posts have made me laugh, cry smile and frown.

  up until about two weeks ago, i was nervous about posting here, tonight, at 5:04am as i write this, i am no longer so, the fact of the matter is, i really don't give a damn as to whether or not someone in the local congrigation reads this or not.

  i'm not a jw, i never have been, and barring getting really steamingly drunk for a good few years on the trot or suffering some other similarly catastrophic brain trauma, i never will be.

  you slowly watch the marriage you had dissentgrate before your eyes.. you want desperately to fix it, but you are being pulled in too many directions.

  just wanted to say hi.... its my 1st time on here...it looks good.. are there many here from aus??.

  i am 37 - male - was a jw all my life until 2 years ago.

  used to pioneer regularly and was a ms. thankfully i questioned everything in the end and found out who god really is and the history of the jw's....my wife and i were shocked after reading coc and c/freedom.

  A Death in Yellowstone

  my mom called me while i was at work today and told me that two people from my old congregation died in september.

  i guess it was "national" news but it flew over my head.

  drew and brent speedie were jehovah's witnesses that went to my old congregation and although they weren't "popular" or well known, i got to know them pretty well.

  Accident prone/Gremlins in the house -what is going on?

  i was busy reading posts on the board just now when i noticed a strange noise.

  i went into the kitchebn and the electric kettle i had put on to boil some 15 minutes earlier was still boiling and the whole kitchen filled with steam to the point some of the cupboards had started to blister and nothing was visible - it was like being on the yorkshire moors.

  i can find no reason for this!

  "Knocking" show in ' 06.

  as many of you know, there is going to be a pbs program aired next year titled, " knocking".

  it''s a pro jw type of show where the jw's are depicted as a positive influence in society.

  and i say "positive' in the sense that it touches on the most base of emotions.

  I'm only new here but I read through the posts then sent an email to PBS, I hope they consider everyones pleas and at the very least put up some of the points from this side of the fence. Having said that I am very glad it is not showing here
