Ok, PMJ, I'll go along with that for the sake of this conversation. But here's the more important question I'm asking. What if a person is annointed, doesn't believe in the trinity, does believe that Jehovah is the almighty and that Jesus is his son, then what? Can that person disagree with the watchtower society or not? To answer that question you have to tell me what you really think is the identifying mark of an annointed person.

Even when I was a little kid, I never understood how we were supposed to believe that it wasn't natural for humans to grow old and die, but at the same time believe that it's normal for every other animal to grow old and die, even in the new system. I bet most witnesses don't really feel right about that one.

i went back to my flat earlier this afternoon to pick some things up, i am moving out of there slowly, and was carrying a heavy box out to my car when i stumbled and dropped it on my foot.
it wasn't too painful, thankfully, but i came out with a stream of expletives, most of them beginning with f. when i was a jw, even thinking those words would have filled me with shame.

No, I was never afraid to curse around certain people, and that's pretty much how I do it now. I know elders who weren't afraid to drop the f-bomb in front of me if noone else was around. I keep it pretty clean around my wife and family, but when I'm with my friends, I relax and use whatever word seems appropriate for the conversation.

Ok, I'll bite - how do you expect people to be united in thought? What are you saying are the true qualifications for being annointed? Could someone be annointed and chastise the watchtower corporation for their errors? Or do you raise the society above the annointed ones? According to jw belief, the annointed are the faithful and discreet slave, and they appoint the governing body. So shouldn't annointed ones have the authority to correct the governing body, even marking or disfellowshipping them if they are on a wrong course?
Please answer my questions, PMJ, and show that you don't just start these threads for attention.

I Found Jesus Today
by atypical inhe was standing on the corner of 27th avenue and northern.. he was wearing a sandwich board that said "salvation for the jews".
he had a name tag, which is how i know that i really found him.. i liked his beard, and the tape on his shoes.. i honked, so that he would know that i accept him.. he waved and smiled.
now i know that he accepts me, too..

The only time I get those feelings is when I have a triggered subconscious response to something, usually a news item. I get a feeling of dread, then I immediately feel guilty for everything I have not been doing (personal study, turning in hours, meeting attendance, etc.). Then, after a while, it passes. Then, I start thinking reasonably again, and I realize just how freakin' deep all those years of mental conditioning really can go.
