I have thought about it, but I couldn't ever really do it. One of my close friends just killed himself, and I feel it was because of his status with the jws, mixed with the fact that he still thought it was the truth. He was the second JW I've know personally who killed himself. I definitely think there is a connection.

I think if you have the energy for it, take the advice about videotaping. Don't admit jack, just ask them questions and make them explain everything they do. Then post the video for others to see and learn from.
But, if you are not up for the emotional rollercoaster, I say ignore them. Make sure you're ok first and foremost.

It's a bully tactic. Show up un-announced, make sure the numbers are in your favor (two to one) and ask personal questions. This has the effect of putting you off balance from the get-go. It provides much better chances that they will find out something they can use against you.
ok here's the plan: i am planning on writing the elders a letter stating my concerns over issues such as 607 bce, un, their de-emphsis on jesus.
i am a major techo freak, i have spy camaras with color and sound, webcams, a cell phone with 512mb of memory that can take video's with sound and high quality tape recorders.
i am having car troubles right now, so the elders are going to come over to my house to meet.
Ask them what will happen to a disfellowshipped person who commits suicide. Ask if Jehovah will resurrect him/her. The pc answer will be "only Jehovah knows the heart". Then ask them how the elders can justify ruling judicially on such a person while they are still alive. I have been hammering on that question since my friend killed himself.

You mean you didn't just rely on Jehovah and pray a lot? I thought that was all it took to get rid of any bad habit.
J/K. Good for you, man. I personally feel that one of the biggest signs we are moving on is when we start to stand up for our personal well-being, which of course includes our health.
