a terrible, unhappy picture?.
yes it is, but nevertheless biblical.
it depicts.
Looks like, even though animals won't be the focus of Armageddon, there will be a few ... what do you call it? ... er ... collateral casualties.
Can I get a scripture on that? Or are you just going on the certainty of anything in a WBTS publication?

according to the times, 40% of people who smoke will not contract cancer in their entire lifetime.. this is truly wonderful news for addicts, many of whom have have been pushing their deep misgivings and health concerns into the background, or smoking less or smoking low tar or smoking cigars or inhaling less or smoking in secret or smoking part-time.. what this means in real terms is that for every 5 smokers you observe, only 3 of them are someday destined to suffer what the medical profession refer to as "night agonies".
briefly, this is a syndrome endured by cancer patients who's discomfort becomes more pronounced in the small hours, sufferers are observed to sometimes hit their heads against their pillows in their frustration with themselves for not having the strength of character to quit.. this is indeed excellent news for smokers, particularly for those who become irritated with goody-goody persons who try to get them to give up.
god, those people are so tedious, aren't they?.
I smoked from the age of 14 to 22. Quit when I became a JW. Started again when I left and smoked for about another 12 years. I quit smoking four years ago, and have never looked back. The idea of smoking never occurs to me, even when I'm with friends who do it. I feel so healthy, so clean and capable and just plain good, that I would never again take up the evil weed and ruin it all again.
I used to get out of breath running up a flight of stairs. Hah! Not now, buddy. My endurance sometimes still surprises me. :) Breathing! Smelling scents of things! Ah, life!

on the vasectomy thread someone mentioned jw opinion of body piercing.
do you have a body piercing or a tattoo?
did you have it done while in the dubs, in secret maybe?
I have a little dragon tattooed on my arm. Here's a pic.
i've been told the glass moves around spelling stuff out.
my brother, before he became a dumbdub said it happened to him - but he was pretty young and probably p'd.
movies and tv play along with it.
One time I turned off the TV.....and the tv shows stopped appearing
AAAAAAAAAAAAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAAAAAAAAAAAH!!! Man, that is just too good! I'm dyin' here! Love it, Naeblis!
I saw that horse-math trick once on that show, "That's Bamfoozling" or whatever it was. The horse came out, the guy axed him a math question, the horse started tapping, the guy turned to the audience and raised his hands in a "ta-dah!" gesture when the horse had tapped the right number of times, the horse quit tapping, and the hosts all said "That's inedible!" in unison. It was painfully obvious that the horse was stopping when the guy raised his hands. I was so disgusted I never watched the show again.

race, creed, religion or having a girl/boyfriend from same, what are your views?.

Race: soitainly! I've dated black, Mexican and oriental ladies. Customs and early environment shape us to an extent, but people are people. From a racial aspect, whether you're compatible or not is an individual thing.
Creed: possible - depends how differently we see things. I can respect difference in viewpoint as long as her acting on hers doesn't bother any of mine, and vice versa.
Religion: possible - depends on how reasonable she is, how heavily she is into the thing, and whether she wants to convert me/others. A lady I'm dating right now is an active Sunday school teacher for a class of teenagers and is there at her church without fail every Sunday for that class. But, she doesn't agree with the preacher's position on some stuff, so she teaches her class and then leaves. So far, it hasn't interfered in any way with our new and growing relationship.
Gender: it ain't gonna happen. (How did this get added in?)

ginny t, ginny's son, my daughter, me...just finished over-eating, as is the tradition in this country.
we're enjoying a glass of chardonnay, sitting in front of a fireplace, plunking tunes on a grand piano, and looking out at puget sound.
ginny says it reminds her of the west coast of norway.
Sounds delightful, sis! Thanks for sharing. My own Thanksgiving was spent at home alone due to a nasty case of something (strep throat, I think) that got hold of me last Sunday and still hasn't let go. I was scheduled to spend the day with a new friend and her extended family, but had to cancel. Bless her heart, she brought a plate by for me... home-cooked goodies galore, including pumpkin pie and cherry cobbler. Yummy!
Life is good, even in quarantine! Happy holiday to all y'all.

i've made friends with a mormon lady, and she told me that her 14yo daughter has thrown out all four harry potter books because she's realised they are dabbling in and encouraging demons.
then she told me about her demon experiences herself.
has any exjw, of sound mind, had a proper demon experience (as opposed to improper!!)?
I'm an agnostic. I've had many encounters with demons. I've seen them a few times, but mostly they manifest themselves as a presence that can be felt rather than visibly. I've heard them a lot more often than I've seen them. And, twice that I recall, I had to fight for control of my own body to prevent harm to my friends who were with me.
It's noteworthy that all of this happened while I was on LSD. It was just the drug. If you don't want to hallucinate, then don't take it. Know what I mean, Vern?

Yes, I am definitely a racist. I raced my 1967 Mustang 289 against a variety of lower-end 8-cylinders in the days before the first gasoline shortage. I used to love to play the video game Road Blaster, too, and have often felt a competitive spirit just driving down the freeway.
