yesterday, my brother and his son were in town visiting.
me and the wife decided to go out and get some pizza to bring back for supper.. when we pulled up to the pizza shop, a guy came up to the car window and gave us his sob story about how he had cancer removed, how he refused to stay in the homeless shelter, and presented a stack of papers stapled together along with his mb health card.
he asked for any change that we may have.

One other thing. The guy "lives" in the area. I have see him at the grocery store quite often, and never once have I seen him buying booze. That is the reason why I "patronize" his business."

a comment from a family member about an elder who quit attending meetings the other day was " oh they dont attend anymore, i dont think they're df'd but its known they started their own church".

Somone in this area did, recently (NE Ohio) They are from a family that's been in the "Truth" since WWII or so. This guy is in his 50s. Never active enough to be an elder or servant. Alcoholic, remarried to an alcoholic, etc. Started a church, got a building and everything, and says it focuses on Jeeeeesus.
i wonder if anyone has heard of this, or whether it is completely made up... the story is that iron maiden (the rock band) took pictures from the revelation book and put them on their album covers, and were therefore threatened by the wts lawyer dept., demanding that they sent them the covers to be destroyed.

not sure if it is the correct terminology, but i've heard of a few instances where the society had to step in and completely "delete" a congregation because of issues with incompetent elders and out of control publishers.

well for starters i do have a prescription for cannabis (insomnia / depression).... why would i want to take pharmacuticals for insomnia/depression?
i mean, what if i get prescribed/addicted to a pill, that one day i might not be able to afford?

i just opened the entertainment section of the la daily news and it had a blurb about prince.
the titled was "prince the pioneer".
it was actually about him receiving some lifetime acheivement award.

quite a weird basic question but does jwism originate from protestantism or catholicism.
i know they came esentialy from the aventists but they themselves hide their original leanings.
as far as i can tell, especaily with looking for loopholes they do lean towards protestantism.
They say they are returning to "true worship" and hence, are not a sect, or protesting anything.

for me, it was easy, because i got to volunteer at some desk so i had 'permission' to be walking around in the hallways.
I would go down to the dugouts and count the money from the contribution boxes, with about 40 other bros and sis. In the dugouts you can't hear the speaker. man what a relief it was.
WTH???? You counted money DURING the assembly.... Wonder why why wouldn't pipe the speakers in the dugouts...we could still hear them in the bathrooms..
