Speaking of children dying....In my county in NY we hear of child abuse all the time , mostly done by drug induced parents. The one case I can think of is where the parents of two little boys left them (forgot about them) in a tub with hot water running for a bath while they slept in a drug induced coma. The boys died a terrible death. Have you heard about that? 30 years ago there was child abuse but it was NOT as common as today.

by Virgogirl indoes anyone know how much pressure is currently being put on the elderly brothers and sisters to name the witchtower babble and trick society prominently in their wills?
since older ones account for a big chunk of the membership, this could increase their coffers if they convince our parents and grandparents not to be "greedy" and to sign it all over to the worldwide work.
i have heard firsthand of elderly widowed sisters having elders appointed as executors of their estate, to handle will administration and personal affairs for them, along with an attorney-brother giving legal advice as needed.

We're all hypocrites!
by free2beme ini firmly believe that if you talk to someone long enough and know someone long enough, you will learn they are a hypocrite.
i don't think anyone can remain on one theme in their life forever and stick with it, as life is just to much about change to allow this and the human experience is about learning and changing.
when i see people quote others and yell the inevitable "hypocrite" comment in their direction.

Welcome to the board, I can remember when it was safe to go to the airport and your relative who was not flying with you could actually come on board with you until it was time to close the doors. That of course was when I was a little kid flying off to see Grandma. I believe it was in 1995 when the airlines started asking for your ID. Then 9/11 happened and we have all kinds of security in place at airports. The world is not as safe as it use to be even with safty measures in place. There are more and more Pedophles coming out of the closet and getting away with their bad deeds. Trust has turned to paraniod of anyone who is a stranger and not a stranger. Gangs on the street killing the innocent for wearing the wrong color in their hood. Yep! Their hood! Police turniing their back on crime. etc etc etc.......I am NOT a JW btw

Of course, the society won't replace a family's personal items, like clothing, CD and DVD collection, computer, books, jewellery, furniture, etc. If they did I doubt it would be equal in value to what was lost. Yet a person's insurance policy contains a specific dollar amount for the contents of the dwelling in addition to the value of the building. People should be very careful about signing anything, particularly with the watchtower society.
The watchtower society is a whore that rapes it's members, then follows up by demanding payment for services rendered.

Would you ever consider going back to the JW''s?

we went round to his local to celebrate my da announcement (made on tuesday 22nd november).
it was his idea, to "drink a toast to freedom", but i was up for it as well, and we ran into a former brother and his girlfriend.
