They depend on the kindness of family or strangers to feed them...cause the WTS isn't going to feed them or pay for their medical or dental expenses. WHAT A LIFE!

Is The Borg Losing Money Drastically Or What???
by cognac inthere has been about 5 trillion talks on donating money.
never heard so many talks on this before... they have said in talks a few times that when the society charged per mag or whatever, the society got a lot more in donations then they do now and the cost in production has gone up.
anyone have any feedback on this?.

Unique but accurate observation about KHs from a "woldly" person
by Lady Zombie ini was out this weekend with a group of my "worldly" friends.
the majority of them don't know that i'd been a witness in the past, nor did they know that my family still is.. i'm not sure how we got on the subject of religions, but one guy asked, "what's the name of those people who don't have windows in their churches?".
several guesses were thrown out including amish and mennonites but he shook his head.

Two KHs I attended did not have windows but it is funny how I didn't notice....The last and third one had a few large windows you could look out at the street and parking lot as the speaker droned on and on. The building was old, built in the late 50s.

by chrisjoel init was a picture about those who would take a final stand against the new world order like a camp outside of the true worshippers.

I remember the picture and was just thinking of it a few days ago... they got it backwards... the good are on the inside and the WTS represents mean and nasty apostates on the outside.. The WTS is an apostate religion. :)

announcement at service meeting
by heathen ini actually went to the service meeting last night and low and behold the announcement was about the wtbts not charging interest on the loans on kingdom halls anymore but they still had to pay back the principle balance , i never knew they charged interest but think that it was a very dishonest thing for them to do to begin with .
you have to borrow money to pay for a building that the wtbts owns?
to charge interest is a very worldly practice since it was against mosaic law to do so and clearly jesus would never have asked anything of the sort .

I feel the same way you do heathen. Why buy a building the congregation does NOT OWN. Why not just pay for the upkeep of the building the congregation is using. Utilities and such. After-all the WTS is a non-profit organization. The WTS benefit when the property value raises. What a waste of the members money. I wouldn't buy a $500,000 house just so I could hand it over to someone else when I move. That's my money and not theirs.
