New Watchtower Distribution System...

to expedite the final delivery of wt literature the watchtower has adopted a new distribution system.

as the rolls of paper and ink etc arrive at the printing facilities they go directly to the printing presses where 10's of thousands of books, magazines, tracts etc are printed every hour.

they are then packaged and sent to the shipping docks where they are loaded onto semi trucks.

The twice monthly Awake should be rolling off the presses soon; starting in January there will only be one issue monthly.

Blondie, is this true or just a joke? If true how do you know?

Another missed opportunity for me to wake up was when they first released the library CD. The km said something like, "Worldly CD's with much less valuable information retail for $50 or even $100". Even my throughly-washed brain thought, "Surely you don't expect me to pay a retail price for something you wrote, coded, and distributed using volunteer labor?" I usually gave 'em $5 for a CD and thought it was a hell of a gift. Turns out it was. Idiot.

i just finished reading crisis of conscience.

i don't know if it was a record or anything, but i just received it the other day and i'm finished!

my criticisms - surely brother franz knows who spearheaded the attacks he so eloquently discusses in his book, both the witchhunt against him personally and those he witnessed during the years.

WANT DETAILS . . . I want to know WHY those who voted to allow the Mexican brothers to bribe the officials felt they merited that consideration over those brothers in Malawi who were raped, beaten and killed. What was the motivation, money, property, race? He has to know more - what did they say? What were the deciding factors?

The book CoC is an eye opener for sure! I can't help but cry tears of grief for the Malawi families.

'we will eat your dollars' to the cyber scammers in nigeria who trawl for victims on the internet, americans are easy targets.

Update on my post re: The suicide.

firstly let me start by saying thankyou to all of you who replied to my post re: the suicide of my brother in law.

i was amazed to come in today and find soooo many lovely messages of condolensce!

i cannot possibly reply to all but each and everyone of you, i want you to know that your replies have made a huge impact on my sister.

I am so sorry about your sister losing her husband.

The greed of some people one never finds until a family member dies and one wants a piece of the decessed possessions. Been there and experienced the same. I bought a little country house next to my aunt in another state where I grew up. She gave me two kitchen chairs not worth much but fit nicely in a small country kitchen. I believe they belonged to my Grandmother. I helped my aunt when she needed help buying gorceries and food for her 5 dogs she loved so much. She would cook a Sunday dinner just like my Grandmother with Chicken dumpings and blackeyed peas and mustard greens and cornbread. Oh man she was a good cook. Made the best Banana Pudding and Jello fruit dessert. Well, anyway when my aunt died I was in NY and my cousin saw the keys to my house my aunt had hanging on her kitchen wall and went over to my house and took the two chairs my aunt gave me. Mind you, this cousin is a witness too. I was in total shock and didn't say anything. She then ask me if I knew where the diamond ring was that my aunt had. My aunt of course had sold the ring long ago when she needed money, I found out later. My aunt had mortgaged her house to the hilt so the bank took that. ...What a shocker for my greedy cousin and her Mother. I sold my house there and never came back.

this is a question i have had for over 13 years, since i first found out that rutherford had a house, named beth sarim, built for him in san diego.

where did the money come from for the 100 acres of land the house was situated upon, and for the design and construction of the house?

in the proclaimer's book, it is said that a "direct contribution" was made for the house.

Lady Lee, I would have done the same thing if I had the power (money) to get rid of an obnoxious drunk. I am well aquainted with obnoxious drunks from my past. Not the present, thank goodness.

Anyway that is no excuse for a religious order to misuse funds intended to advance the world wide work of teaching Gods word.

Religious-ethical hypothesis: Lets say...

I feel this way and I expressed these thoughts to my JW friends a few months ago. As long as Satan is running amuck on the earth and allowed by God to tempt us all which he is very effective at doing. How can God sit in heaven and judge us by this short life we as humans have on earth. Because weak humans do NOT have a chance against a strong and invisible force such as Satan. Even the scripture is confusing and there are to many interpretations. My friends really did not have an answer for me as there was nothing they could say that I hadn't heard before.

I keep wondering why didn't God our Father look out for our interest in the first place. So Eve and Adam sinned and lost everlasting life....Just why in the hell didn't God kill Satan. Christ could have redeemed our inherited sin without Satan roaming the earth and we might be better people for it.

I don't have an answer...just questions

i've been out of the jws for the last 20 years.

i remember when...the wts prided its self on having khs that were humble, practical and were't a showy displaythe wts was as militant as they are now.the elders weren't as cruel to their ownthe wts wasn't always puttong their hands in the r&f's pocket and demanding money.the conventions actually cared about the needs of the r&f by providing food and not making a bunch of rules about where they could eat and what they could put under the seat.. am i remembering things differently?

has the society gotten worse?

Yes, I have noticed....I can remember when they served HOT FOOD at the conventions in Yankee Stadium...Loved the Chille now you have to bring your own....that's why I left...hahaha just joking.
