by watch the tower ina huge question that i have in the back of my mind regarding the wts is where all of the money ends up.
no one really has a conclusive answer to that.
i think it would reveal a lot if we were able to find out.. i know there have been various threads in the past where it revealed a clue here and a clue there.

The accounting department of the WTS is in control of paying the bills....We need a copy of all bills paid out. Not a chance do we have of receiving a copy of bills paid for any month out of the ORG.

" has another dig at higher education.. paragraph 7.
"anyone who does not trust firmly in jehovah might think differently.the majority of humans view material wealth as a major key to security.hence, parents have encouraged their offspring to invest much of their young adulthood in higher education, hoping that it will prepare them for well-paying careers.sadly some christian families have found the cost of such an investment to be very high, as their children have lost spiritual focus and turned to pursuing materialistic goals".

But I insist on keeping it, even though that rutabaga is hard as a locust post and I still haven’t come up with an easy way to cut it. Maybe if I stayed in the kitchen instead of watching the parade, I would have learned a great secret. In recent years, I’ve been whacking it with the really sharp meat cleaver, like splitting firewood, making loud karate sounds with each strike.
Hahahhaa LMAO...I thought I was the only one that whacked those things with a meat cleaver!

Do you know of any "baptized" JW's single sisters that got "pregnant"?

when i was a jw i remember a young baptized sister that got pregnant and she was unmarried.
i was waiting for the elders to either disfellowship her or reprove her but nothing happened to her.

Yep! vitty, I left my kids with what I was told by her mother a JW, was a very mature young girl and if she needed anything her mother said she would be right there to help. Keep in mind I knew this couple and her daughter. They were not strangers. I should have known something was wrong when the daughter ask for the baby-sitting money up front because she needed a new dress. I was so damn gullible! I am sure my kids were not harmed. They were fed and clean and seem to be happy when we came back.

Jan 1st WT: Reaching out, Higher Education and Providing for one's needs
by truthseeker inwell, as a nice start to the new year, the jan 1st watchtower article, "how firm is your trust in god" blasts those who live comfortable lives, those who don't reach out, and those who pursue higher education.. definitely, they are taking a harsher stand, having completely painted themselves into a corner.. i highlighted the interesting comments.
i did not include all the text for each paragraph, just the main points.. .
1 a young man wanted to be more useful to the congregation.

I remember two sisters who were best friends. Both got caught fooling around with their boy friends. One got pregnant and was DFed while the other was reproved.
Sounds like the two in my cong who were only 14 and 15. One girl babysat for me and I was told by her Mother she could take care of my two children while my Hubby and I went on a weekend vacation for our aniversery, Well, low and behold if she didn't have her worldly BF over with her best GF and her BF for some wild party in my home. I didn't know any of this until much later when her GF got pregnant and both her and the baby sitter was disfellowshipped. My kids were only 4 years and one year. I stopped going to that KH. When we moved away I faded away from meetings. When I think about it...I get angry.

I hear from a pioneer friend in the cong I went to that the CO is of the anointed and is in his 50s...she is in awe and adores him of course. I questioned her on his being one of the anointed and she got all huffy and puffy about my question. I would guess he gets a lot of freebes from the adoring sheep.
