  I finally got the courage

  i have been wanting to get the book crisis of conscience by ray franz for some time but for some reason have felt i might be commiting the unforgivable sin.

  so i ordered it on amazon will be here in about 5 days.

  have you noticed that the wts in their publications literally interpret this schripture, isaiah 11:6-9 .

  6 and the wolf will actually reside for a while with the male lamb, and with the kid the leopard itself will lie down, and the calf and the maned young lion and the well-fed animal all together; and a mere little boy will be leader over them.

  7 and the cow and the bear themselves will feed; together their young ones will lie down.

  Question about apostosy

  please correct me if i'm wrong.... .

  isn't the wtbts's stance on apostacy defined as a member who denounces the authority of one of god's holy spirit inspired spokesmen?

  if so, when paul and barnabas had the argument over taking mark on a mission trip.... which one was apostate?

  It´s an all or nothing game that is being played here.

  Even being is is basically apostacy as per the last resolution that many had the priveledge of accepting without thinking.

  But, one area has not been addressed: Who are "Jehovahs's Witnesses", as in "as taught by Jehovah's Witnesses". Gordon, if you are one of them, this is not about you! Not about me nor my brother. This is about the ones who decide what the doctrine is: excusez le mot: present truth.

  Therefore, by definition, anything they do or teach can hardly be considered apostacy.

  If you do not move as quickly as they do, you are considered apostate by even slowing down!

  Hi freegirl2006 and a warm welcome here at our virtual meeting place.

  By telling your story you´ve shown a bravery a lot of people still have to aquire. And it warms me to read you did not hide your own mistakes. But it also angers me to see that men are protected by a powerhouse called instituationalized religion and can use it to bring people down. It is unethical.....

  Recovery is a road with ups and downs. So is life. But regardless of were you are on this road, don´t forget to come here so now and then to articulate whatever is on your liver. You´ll find us here to listen and talk to.

  Have you seen the dining room....everybody is rushing.....!Que aproveche! Bon appetite! Mahlzeit!

  he made an interesting point that corrected me and.

  touched my heart.. i wondered aloud if there was "any limit to how stupid the organization could collectively become".

  I was reading an interesting article in Foreign Relations booklet of octobre 2006 about the impact of protestant religion on US foreign policy. I found it interesting because it seemed that eveangelical protestantism shows to be more alive and tends to have more commitment to become a force for change than other strands of protestantism.

  What is being discussed here in this thread, is that JWism is dead in the water. I do not consider that odd since JW´s themselves have in majority acknowledged that they are not part of human society....(DC resolution 2006 How mind dumbing is it going to get? Wouldn´t it be nice if at a resolution part, the majority of the audience would remain silent? Wow!)

  So, not beng interested in the life in the outside world.....not interested in the life on the inside.............."save me from the nothing I have become"? yeah!

  We are looking at a zombi, guys.

  After Armegeddon Whats the plan?

  from the beginning of the jw experiance, i wondered what the plan was going to be after armegeddon.

  we are to expect so much destruction, billions of people destroyed (how many birds does it take to eat 6 billion people in a timely manner?

  ) with the massive deaths and stuff to clean up........peoples bones for one, rebuiling and resurrecting the millions and millions that have died.....teaching them, and working to clean up the planet.

  In that case I expect the SAS survival handbook to be released at the next District Convention. Or maybe a condensed version is all they can allow themselves to produce. ........or I am then in danger of reading out of context and dishonestly used quotes?

  I think I'll stick with the original.(There goes $$). Perhaps I´ll be viewed as being apostate but at least I have priority no 1 in order.

  He Awol, Ever read Ecclesiastes? No, perhaps this would be a good time to do it. The gist of the matter: work eat drink and enjoy. Dead is dead. Alive is alive. The rest is vanity!SO ENJOY!

  It helped me to stop worrying about things we do not understand. Do you think the Sherlock Holmes of bible interpretation in Brooklyn have a clue? It just seems so. Just check their stories over time about Revelation.

  Fear, when regarded from a practical point of view, has great advantages for the political manipulator. Any dictator can tell you that. The question is: will you allow yourself to be moved by fear? or by joy? The moment you stop to be bothered about things that cannot be proven is the moment you start to be free.

  On a site note: Jonah story is of special interest. Jonah felt he made a fool of himself to announce destruction. please, note that his God mentioned animals to be the reason for not fulfulling his prophesies........Convenient is it not?

  IF.....and I mean a really big IF, please note I did not say when. IF....then what? First things first. You need food, water and shelter. Look at what hundreds of thousands of dead bodies in Rwanda caused.....

  Priority no1: food, water, shelter.

  Priority no2: security on those 3 items listed above.

  If the destruction is as big as it is often thought and pictured, priorities no 1 and 2 are a hell of an issue to solve. Beyond that? Hard to see the future is....
