  its wednesday evening, i'm alone and in need of distraction and am curious about my new and old fellow posters.

  so i was wondering if you would reveal what makes you different from the next person in terms of your hobbies.

  Hehehe...

  I guess that was one good thing about working and being a dub. After it all fell apart I had a lot of money saved up because I never did the normal teenager buy-stuff kind of thing. It's a long story but I secretly befriended a german foreign exchange student my senior year of high school...(freshman year of college is when I fell-out da troof.) Well that summer I decided, to heck with it, I'm gonna be destroyed so I might as well see the world before that day and I went and spent the summer in germany with my friend and we went all over the place.

  Then I met people on the internet and visited them here and yon. It's a good thing. :)

  Why is Jehovah organization or Jehova's Witness so critizise?

  why not the catholic church or others religions?

  i dont understand that how a religion that douesn't go to war, don't buy guns, they preach for free they dont get paid,there not rasist, they love there neighbors they treat others well, they dont bother you if you dont want them to pass by your house they wont.

  why so much hate, if they go strictly by what the bible says.

  JWs don't judge? What do you call all the countless millions disfellowshipped for what I consider whack-azzed charges?! They say to use your bible trained conscience, and when you do they say you're obviously not being humble and thinking too much and then drop a couple of apostate words cause you ask questions, yet did not Thomas question the very SON of god?

  Do you believe in Karma? Why or why not?

  i haven't read up on it, and my only exposure to it is a few people that say they believe in it.

  correct my amateurish view of it, please.. karma is the overriding force in the universe that keeps the good/evil scales in balance.

  if you do something rotten, you'll get something rotten back on you.

  That would be a negatory. I've seen too many of the do gooders getting shafts and evil bastards getting undeserved props, yo. To say, "Oh, the goodness I've done will return to me." Is just pie-in-the-sky optimism. I for one am rather the fatalist.

  I bought "A Purpose Driven Life" the other day. My work associate is reading it and she says that it's a very good book and really helps you examing just what you're doing with your life and how to go about making positive life changes. I would recommend it if you're feeling a bit out of sorts.

  I feel for you. I've been in that limbo you describe and I understand that strange want to go back if nothing else just to return to what's comfortable to you. I always ask myself, "Am I being true to MYSELF in whatever actions I am peforming? Am I making the right decision for my happiness?" If you can happily return to the flock, then by all means, go! What is vinegar for one is fine wine for another. None of us have a right to judge whatever decisions you choose to make for yourself, your wife or your family.

  However, going to therapy might not be a bad thing. There's obviously gotta be something niggling you to even consider that route. I would say try to find one that has experience in dealing with people who are exiting cults, or who have experience in dealing with JWs. It could be if nothing else, an arbitrarily objective person to release to.

  It's scary to lose your way. You're not alone there...but you can find yourself, and contentment if you try. Best of luck. I know we're here for you...

  one who is non-judgmental about others.. after 40 yrs of mind-control and judging everyone and everything in black/white, i am noticing that i don't even give much thought to the old witness predudice and self-righteous judgmentalisms anymore.. i could generally care less if a person i meet is a christian or not, hetero or homo in sexual prefs, wears earrings or not, how they dress, ect.. could it be that the witness fog is finally lifted and i am able to see the world without the witness filters?.

  that is not to say i don't care about some of those things on some level, but they make little diff to me in general now.

  i have become.... dare i say it.... normal!

  How what Ak_Jeff said persecuting jws? That's a rather masochistic approach to persecution I believe. That would be like me going to downtown Riyadh with my blonde hair and blue eyes wearing a belly dancing costume and dancing the twist to Chubby Checker. I would be welcoming whatever harsh punishment I would have coming to me.

  If you go by the fact that JWs display some very concerning mind-control cult-like tactics on its membership then no, most JWs aren't normal. They have been manipulated and aren't using their god-given rational minds as was intented, instead following blindly information from an elitest 'rulership.' It doesn't mean they're freaks...but they're definitely not free either.

  Bottom line. Life is never black/white, right/wrong. There are always grey areas...and that is where all should look for answers. I never simply believe what someone tells me. I go and research it to make sure it's right! Because as many of the Elders and even the GB has stated, that the WT has made mistakes in the past...

  quilting

  poetry, art, drawing

  sleeping. I like sleeping. ;)

  I love reading books. I have a voriacious appetite, and can usually finish a book (approx 400+ pages) in about 3 hours. It's a very expensive hobby now that I think about it. I love travelling. I've been to Australia, Germany, Nederlands, England, Chech Republic, Poland, Caribbean islands, Mexico, Canada...and there's so much more I want to do and see!

  I like cooking and baking...I just don't get a lot of time to do it so it bums me out. I love cats. I have four. 3 Maine Coons and a Lilac Point Siamese. They're my buds.

  I just got married about two months ago to a great guy who loves me for me, not for how big my holy holy is. ;) I love snuggling down on the couch with a cuppa watching movies and snuggling with either said cats or husband. I'm not picky. ;)

  I collect matryoshka dolls (nesting dolls.) I like to be sarcastic, and I live to make people laugh. I guess the laughing part is my defense mechanism...If people laugh at what I say then they must like me. :)

  mmmmm boooze.

  There's nothing like a nice glass of booze during the middle of the work day to really put you back in the right mindset. hehehe. Sorry I'm so irreverant. I think I just need to laugh. There have been a lot of bad news here. My friend's dad died the other day unexpectedly. This makes me said...he was a nice man, and it sorta puts it into perspective. One day I too will lose my mother and father. Not sure how this makes me feel. Sorta internal I guess. :}

  Heyo Jordan,

  I figure this will kill two birds with one stone. It will distract you and also keep me from doing my assignments at work that I need to complete as well. And all shall be good and pure in the world.

  Things are going alright today...only it's freezing here at work. I'm not sure what the purpose is yet, cause it's not motivating me to move faster...I'm more or less going into hibernation mode.
