my mom is a dialysis patient and has had a couple of heart attacks.
she is 65 or so...never celebrated a birthday so no real clue.... she went into the hospital yesterday with a bleeding ulcer...they thought they sealed it all up but her blood count continues to drop.
due to her dialysis she can only get iv's in one arm and it is difficult to find a good vein.

just receieved this this morning.
initially i was seething.
but now i think that the best reply is no reply.
Oh geevee how awful to get such a letter, it makes me glad that none of my family ever followed me into the jws. It seems a little arrogant as well, assuming that he will survive whilst you have sentenced yourself and your family to death. I think I would have to think long and hard before replying, I would be so angry at receiving such a letter.
well, i can brave most things but i've yet to find an answer to those "i've got a mind of my own" supermarket trolleys!
talk about ambidextrous - those wheels can go in opposite directions at the same time!.
of course, all that will change in the "new system"tm.
Probably 6, no worldly super, arkets, or 9 no shopping
If there were, 11 would apply
Welcome to the board, I'm sure you will love it here, I do
i firmly believe that if you talk to someone long enough and know someone long enough, you will learn they are a hypocrite.
i don't think anyone can remain on one theme in their life forever and stick with it, as life is just to much about change to allow this and the human experience is about learning and changing.
when i see people quote others and yell the inevitable "hypocrite" comment in their direction.
I agree with katiekitten. Most of us on here have changed our beliefs, or in some cases no longer have beliefs. That doesn't make us hypocrites, telling others to live by principles we don't adhere to is hypocrisy.
The biggest hypocrites I can think of at the moment all live in Brooklyn.
.
i wonder what the jw's think about other religions around the world that are persecuted because of jesus's name..... they aren't the only ones being persecuted.
We were aware that other religions got persecuted, but it didn't count as far as we were concerned because they weren't serving jah
it is with little or no regret that i have found it necessary to disfellowship the watchtower bible and tract society in order to protect my good name.
after unrepentantly fornicating with the scarlet coloured wild beast for 10 years and having been exposed by a worldly organization, i have not been able to find any note of contrition or shame.plenty of time has been allowed for an apology but nothing has been forthcoming.indeed, minimising the sin indicates a haughty attitude.
i,for my part, will forever be ashamed of my association with wtbs.i apologise to bible students i've had and the fear i have displayed in saying nothing for 24 years.
Hi Big Mouth, and welcome to the board. I left the wt recently as well, isn't it great to have your freedom back.
As for the suits, well I 'd keep one or two, you might get invited to a wedding sometime.
color blindness tests.
the following are common tests used to detect color blindness.. can you read the numbers hidden in each square?
you should see 58 (upper left), 18 (upper right), e (lower left) and 17 (lower right).. if you cannot see any of the above numbers/letters, you may suffer from color blindness.
I can see them all as well, so I'm not colour blind either.
Thanks Gumby
i cant connect, although i havent tried the site in well over a year.
We just tried, and can't connect either
my son who is 20 was remembering a few of the more amusing visits to the kingdom hall.
his favourite was when a brother announced.
"the new magazines are in brothers and sisters.
I remember a couple of comments made in wt studies that were amusing:
One brother commented that the churches of Christendom were more interested in getting bums on seats than actually helping people spiritually, and when the wt overseer asked a question about getting children to behave an interested person who was there for the first time whispered, loudly enough for everyone to hear "kill em". Dp will remember that one as well, he was reading the wt that day.
