Oh no, what shoking news. I was baptised ELCA Lutheran 2 years ago, and although I enjoy the teachings, I must admit the Lutherans are a bit mellow. I have always seen American christianity as being of two camps. In the "Collard Green and Corn Bread camp" you have the Southern Baptists, Penticostals, and other Southern Fundi movements. In the "White Bread and Mayonaise" camp you have the Lutherans, Episcopailians, and other northern liberal reformed churches.

thats why apostates are hopeful that if enough fault can be found with the organization and brought to the attention of the faithful, then they too will accept the conclusion that jehovahs witnesses are not who we say we are.

i was looking at a magazine while waiting for my son to come out from seeing his doctor a couple of weeks ago, and it had an article in it about dick cheney.

(i think it was a magazine named architecture.

) it showed pictures of the home cheney is favored with living in during his tenure as vice president of the united states.

a couple of very basic questions for you good folks.. 1)imagine that you are joe public who has never had any real contact with jehovah's witnesses.

none of your family are, or your friends.

you occasionally say "not interested" to them on saturday mornings.

I've tried talking to other people about the JW faith. You know what I found out? Nobody cares. Not about doctrinal stuff, not the shunning, blood issues, not even the molestation issues. On the molestation issue the biggest response I get is "Oh they're covering up molestation? I thought all cults do that sort of thing, at least it's not some sort of ritual molestation that's endorsed from the pulpit. On the blood thing, "All these cults have peculiar beliefs, look at the Christian Scientist."

Bottom line?
