a huge question that i have in the back of my mind regarding the wts is where all of the money ends up.
no one really has a conclusive answer to that.
i think it would reveal a lot if we were able to find out.. i know there have been various threads in the past where it revealed a clue here and a clue there.
My theory is that the Watchtower is sick and tired of waiting for Jehovah to start armageddon, so they are stockpiling money and arms so they can start armageddon on their own. They'll probably buy some nukes from Kazakhstan. They've already bought all the chemical weapons from Iraq and are hiding them at the Watchtower farms.
i know you were joking, but ive been saying it for years... they will start the next world war, and in turn say its armageddon... just wait, ethnic cleansing by the J-DUBS... dont be surprised when it happens...

i was just curious about this question.
when i was a jw i remember a young baptized sister that got pregnant and she was unmarried.
i was waiting for the elders to either disfellowship her or reprove her but nothing happened to her.
ha ha, yeah i knew quite a few of them... except they got married really quickly.. and them pop, a baby comes out six months later... hmmm, i guess witness elders couldnt do the math..

a few months back i remembered a newbie asked in this forum what would it take for a current witness to "go over the edge".
in other words what would it take, personally as a witness, to stop going to meetings or to just quit being a jw?
what would you have to learn or see?

soooooo any of you thats been following my threads thanks (and poor u) i have changed my mind so many times.
i have finally decided that i must stop trying to get reinstated, basically i got dfed 9 months ago had a boyfriend i felt i loved, was married tho still to my hubby who is only just starting to divorce me, (hes waited coz he keeps saying we could try again for the sake of our daughter but he would expect me to be completly in the 'truth') i hid the bf from my family coz they were so heartbroke and i decided to please them i would get reinstated and then fade, but as time went on i realised that wasnt an option as with a family like mine it would be so hard to do, plus there was the bf still hidden poor guy, anyway we spilt up several times, i was a complete physco i kept blaming him for everything,.
anyway last month i put my letter of reinstatement in and sat there scared stiff that they would reinstate me (as that would defo mean the end of the bf) they didnt reinstate me, and i blamed the bf and we spilt for good;.
stupid j-dubs!!!! this is the first ive heard of your threads, so sorry about what youre going through... youre life will improve now, im sure ur bf will eventually understand... sounds like a stand up guy to me... and again, ur better off without the j-dubs... my heart goes out to u...

as most of you know, i live in quebec (90% french) and i was at the convenience store a moment ago.. there was a lady from ontario in her 50's who stopped at the conveniece store to ask the clerc for directions in english.
the girl at the cash tried her best to speak english and give her the right directions.
then a client came in the convenience store and saw the lady talking in english.
AWESOME THREAD... i always have that debate with my anglo saxon friends here in ontario... they believe that everyone should speak english and their defense is not that it is a national language, because they know i would say, then we better speak french... their defense is that english is the most wide spread language in the world!!! BS! actually english is not number one, its nmot even number 2.... but thats not the point, i am bilingual but have noticed that when someone is at least courteous about asking if they speak some english, the clerks in stores or so are more than willing to try... instead the white folk tend to walk in, noses high in the air saying things like "these people better speak english here, or i wont buy anything..." its ridiculous and unfair, and to be honest, ITS DOWNRIGHT RUDE!!! be polite, cuz im agine a french person trying to speak to you in french in your retail store... by the way, i do it all the time here in ontario, go into a store and speak french to the clerks... ITS HILARIOUS!!
