i've been thinking about contacting the jw boy i was involved with 22 years ago.
i don't know why exactly, except that i need some explanations from him, meaning, why did he behave the way he did after our separate jcs.
i guess i need closure.
i dont see contacting him to be of any benefit to you... your husband... that man.... his wife... his kids....
all it will do is bring back a rush of emotions you have at least put behind you... closure is a strange concept... and how can you still need it after 22 years???

i've owned two different ipods including the video ipod.. i own two different iriver products including the new iriver clix2 (mp3 player, video player, digital recorder and fm radio.).
to me the iriver is the clear winner on all fronts.
(cheaper, too).. briefly: iriver allows multiple file formats and drag and drop file use.
i have had nothing but ipods and am honestly sick of itunes... i think my next purchase will be an iriver... aww well, 300 bux down the drain!

our son is married to a jw girl, and is slowing being sucked into the cult himself.
he knows we appose this organization and have tried to show him the falsehoods of the wts.
my question is: if he has told the elders at his kh about us (that we're against the wts)......do the elders tell him to limit his association with us??
they will probably say you are a bad association... then they will say to limit association with you... i can almost say this without a doubt... hpefully your son will realize at that point how bs this whole religion is... good luck

i'm new to this forum.
i was raised a jw by 3rd generation witnesses.
most of my relatives are witnesses.
im more on the side of why bother?!!? i mean, i dont go to meetings, i dont acknowledge them when i see them, and i definitely dont tell people i am a non practising JW!i am just not a jw... if they expect a letter, they can screw themselves... why should i make any contact with them? its not worth it!

having been in the organization for 30 years, after i got out i reflected on this.
as a teenager i was told to not let my hair grow over my ears because i might stumble other young ones in the congregation.
also, in order to carry the microphones i was told i couldn't wear white socks, had to wear black or dark blue socks.

i seem to have run into alot of problems getting an answer to this question from people who claim to be able to discern god and his thoughts and plans..including witnesses.....some look at me and ask me if i know the answer!!!!!.
kinda scary really...and iam beginning to wonder if the inquisitions were on the basis of questions like this...beware is all i can say...... seems to me it would be between the one blaspheming and the one being blasphemed alone.....it would be impossible for an onlooker to know for sure what was actually going on between them....and if they were friends under an agreement with a plan...or mortal enemies calling each other liars...... no human i know of can answer this question truthfully unless they admit to being one or the other first.. anyone else see something i missed?.

lets illustrate... little johnny is a virgin, but really is into a girl who is not... so, little davey boy, johnny's personal friend, runs around "blaspheming" by saying that johnny is not a virgin and that girls say he is wonderful in bed... when johnny finds out about this, he confronts davey boy, who says, its good for you, this girl will like you... now the Blasphemee (johnny) says; "well awesome, keep it up", then davey boy is not blaspheming, he is lying on behalf of the supposed blasphemee...

iow, what, essentially, is 'the truth'?.
