I just want to know if making the card disappear would mean the local body of elders cannot effectively take any disciplinary action against me.

You said that nothing can stop an elder (or several) from tracking me down and making a lesson out of me. How would they do that if they don't have my card? Can they simply make a new one? Taking into account what Dismembered said about putting stuff on PC, I guess making a new card is not impossible.

I was wondering whether making the card disappear means the elders of that congregation cannot touch you in any disciplinary fashion since, without your publisher card, you are technically not a member of their congregation.

I think my congregation is currently in the care of a CO who doesn't bother with inactive ones. I've faded for at least a year now, but I've never received a CO home visit, not that I want one. Just surprised by the apathy.
Dune, do you know if the inactive publishers becomes a recurring topic of discussion between the elders and the CO? Or is there just some initial interest that diminishes over the years?

Anyway, I remember how some of you guys talk of (and actually do) making your publisher cards magically disappear. Two questions:
1) How does doing so benefit you? Does it mean the congregation that is supposed to have your card cannot take any judicial action against you?(i.e. unable to disfellowship you etc, since missing your publisher card, you are not technically a member of their cong)
2) Hasn't any evil Dubs caught on to our tricks since and taken preventive measures?

I think it was the book, THE TRUTH THAT LEADS TO ETERNAL LIFE (circa 1968) that spun the idea that Adam and Eve knew what death meant by seeing animals die. - Terry
That is a rather costly lesson for humans at the expense of the animal kingdom. Surely, with supposedly 6000 years of mortality, Adam's descendants should already have a superb understanding of what it means to get wrinkly and drop dead.

i wasn't going out in servive as much,not commenting and wasn't married to a witness.
i was taken off the ministry school talk # 2,couldn't pray for the congregation,was taken off the sound equipment,couldn't pass out literature,couldn't receive a blood card and finally couldn't receive any books because i wasn't considered part of the congregation.that was fine with me.. what were the signs you received from your congregation telling you that you were weak in the faith?.
There was a young Indian brother in my home congregation who had grown a moustache. I can't remember how he got away with it at the local Kingdom Hall. But when he rocked up at an assembly to do attendant duties, the assembly overseer pulled him aside and informed him that he would not be entitled to that priviledge for being a "bad" example to the brothers.
Bro. Moustache was furious. But he shaved it off too in the end. You have to play by their rules to climb their ladder I guess.

if animal sacrifices is considered 'satanic/pagan/occultish' practice, then why do the jws worship a god who demanded animal sacrifices and still consider that blood be poured on the ground or discarded as a sacrifice to god?.
following the wtbts practice of following everything back to its source (supposedly) to discover why it was done and then label it as satanic, why do they still continue their obsession with blood?.
