regret my "former" life as a Witness
by Richie indisassociating yourself slowly or quickly is a matter of perspective; think about it: you lose either way, i.e.
the witnesses will treat you like you've become part of the "bodysnatchers" of the world and no matter how you rationalize it, there is no honorable way out in the eyes of the witnesses.. i was df'd about 1.5 years ago (as they said that i left the organization so it was entirely my fault, but little do they know that their organization left me, as i appealed the gb's decision), and the sudden break-off of family and friends in the truth is always devastating to say the least - it's an emotional explosion which in your wildest dreams would normally never ever happen....i can now understand what death means, at least in the beginning....yes i was dead though living - even though when i went back to the meetings afterwards, i could feel the lonely emptiness, the non-existence of myself.
yet when by accident i would be gazing straight into the eyes of one of my (former) friends, he would just stare past me as if i didn't exist at all even though i attempted to smile at him in indicating respect to him....how convenient for them to ignore a fellow friend and instead make me feel like the lowest person on earth - but then..of course they were taught to respond in this manner to anyone who is df'd.... then i though to myself...what would happen when eventually i would be re-instated: yes, then after the announcement most would want to see me at the end of the meeting all happy and oh so loving and wanting to be my best friend all over again - in a heartbeat they'll change from zombies to angelic like mortal creatures of love.... for this very reason i cannot return to the meetings in the hope of wanting to be re-instated and have this hypocrisy again heaped upon me like tentacles.

Hi Richie,
I also greatly miss my family members who are in the watchtower and also many friend's whom I knew for so many years whom now walk past you and look straight past you, unfortunately the love that the watchtower society Foster's is not a true love from the heart but a conditional love the condition being organisation affiliation and carrying out organisational duties so in other words if you are not in our club we won't love you any more, what sort of love is this?
The shuning policy is simply a base method of emotional blackmail and to me when I saw the watchtower society for what it truly is ie a manipulative bully boy, I would not give up my free speech or surrender to their emotional blackmail and although this is painful it is the only way that their method will not work in the long run if people do not surrender to it, as Steve Hassan said in his book combating cult mind control when dealing with cults you are at war and I think it is our duty to do what ever we can to expose cults like Jehovahs witnesses by making the general public aware of their methods because I believe that publicity is one of a cults worst enemies although I dont believe this should become an obbsesion and we need to get on and enjoy life and not let it beat us in that sense as well, I know that this does not take way the pain of the shuning , but I do assure you that like me you will make many new friend's whom you will be able to see as real true friend's whom are interested in you as a person and not on what your organizational standing is and you're new found freedom will bring you rich rewards, although it wont always be easy like has already been said ,a roller coasrer ride, and I wish you all the best in your quest I truly do. -

Hi Maby
When your dad refers to doing research on Jehovahs witnesses he is referring to reading their own latest literature and learning about Jehovahs Witness through publications like their knowledge book which is studied by all new converts. Most of Jehovahs Witness literature is heavily sanitized as to create the watchtower society in the best possible light and hardly unbiased toward themselves,: Witness converts very early on are encouraged to view the watchtower literature as the only trustworthy source of information and all outside sources of information as being suspect and since then all things outside of the watchtower are controlled by Satan the devil not to be trusted, of course sometimes the watchtower does quote scholarly influences from the world but very often they are quoted completely out of context in order to appear to support watchtower viewpoints. The best way to prove the watchtower as a fraud is to use their own literature as when you see their publications through their history you can check and compare it to their more recent publications you can see evidence of lies cover cops in their history in compete u turns on former view points and their own literature proves that they have lived up to their own definition of what a false prophet is. Most Jehovahs witnesses know very little about their religious history although they do have an official history book about their religion it is a complete sham and in reality very few witnesses know very much about the religions true history and hardly any witnesses have ever read any of the publications written by for instance Joseph Rutherford and his ramblings about the evils of vaccination and so on.
Jehovahs witnesses through a process of indoctrination lose their free will and become puppets to the dictates of the governing body in the Brooklyn New York headquarters who they see as God's spokesman an amazing illusion of reality is built up by the watchtower for a new Witness the carrot is that they hope to receive everlasting life on a paradise earth, nothing that money could ever buy and the stick is that they will only get this if they follow the dictates of the organisation otherwise they will suffer complete destruction at Armageddon which is always perpetually just ahead. -

GB Split Over Bible vs. Policy
by Maximus inplease read the following brief paragraph carefully: .
"once again, the ruling ecclesiastical class suppressed efforts to make gods word available to their flock.
they violently silenced a voice that pointed to some of the errors of their non-biblical beliefs.

The watchtower has written several good articles along these lines, the problem the watchtower society has is on the one hand they need to control the membership on the inside but on the other hand appeal to potential new recruits and try to appear to the world as a free expression religion, another thing is mentaly to by having the actual nerve to write these articles no one would even suspect to question or apply these things to the region responsible for writing these articles because one would automatically assume that anyone writing an article against such practices would never do these things themselves.
A bunch of complete hypocrites. -

Sincere doubt on the Sovereign issue
by Sincere Inquirer inthis is the first time i post to this forum in order to find new ideas about a doubt that has been torturing me.
no one in my congregation was capable of providing me with a reasonable explanation, and the society did not answered my letter about this sincere doubt of mine.
so, any help will be appreciated!.

You know. This is a subject which I have also thought about often, for it seems strange that scenario in which man is supposed to try to do things on his own has a superhuman spirit creature called Satan and millions of his demon hordes raking havoc for man's efforts. This does not seem fair to me it's like giving somebody a task to do but allowing somebody else to continually interfere with their efforts, this is not any proof whatsoever that that person may have been able to accomplish task unhindered or not.
The real question of whether man could manage on his own or not goes completely unanswered because a lot of the evil in the world can be put down to the interference of evil superhuman spirit creatures so the question is how would man have managed without this interference it does seem strange the and does not make complete sense the Witness interpretation of a court case scene. -

Nothing positive to offer!
by cornish inthe biggest objection that most current borg members have to leaving is that even though there may be false and wrongs in their religion there is nothing better or nothing else which is positive that anyone else or anything else has to offer.
it seems that truth is not the primary criteria of most j w s even though they use the word truth in a completely habitual way, but they will not be shifted from a nice cosy illusion true or false, so how would you answer the objection that there is nothing positive to offer outside the watchtower?
how would you answer this in a direct and forthright way ?

Why Mainstreaming Will Win and Reform Won't
by metatron insometimes change takes place over many years, in such a subtle.
and quiet way that those involved may not even discern that a. trend is forming.
as with social security and retirement issues,.

In the past voting was considered a very serious compromise, allying oneself with Satans wicked system, so serious absolutely unthinkable for most J Ws. Witnesses in Malawi suffered terribly because it was considered such a serious compromise for them to carry a party state ID card, which was in that country was simply an I D card, this was for less a step down voting itself and what so many witnesses in Malawi suffered so terribly for what the watchtower has mail backtracked on so at much.
Before voting was considered a dissfellowshiping offence, now even if any J W openly votes they cannot be dissfellowshiped or even removed from privleges for it, in the future many JWs will have no problem with voting at all. In the future it will gradually be seen as not so important and serious a thing to most J Ws and in the end with new converts coming along Jehovahs witnesses will vote just like the public in general thus giving the religion more political clout. -

R. FRANZ UNWITTINGLY TELLS THE TRUTH
by Yadirf inraymond franz unwittingly reveals the truth insofar as the comparability of todays jehovahs witnesses and those who were true worshipers in queen esthers day.. raymond franz said:.
raymond franz, a high-ranking jehovah's witness who was disfellowshipped and then wrote two books about the inner workings of the faith, said he doesn't believe cases of pedophilia are any more prevalent in the denomination than in others.
but the religion's insularity leads to problems, he said.

I wont waste my time on someone commited to idolitorous worship of a religious system, you justify a religion keeping molesters from exposure and public justice, how sad the witness closed judicial system rather than prooving a sucess has failed so many innocent children, many who have eventually left the Watchtower because they have realised that they were not failed by Jehovah but by a man made religion. These people who have learnt from their own bitter experience are among the ones whom you arrogantly label apostate.

With such a command of discriptive language and clear explanation ,you should publish a book or something.
