I'm graduating tommorrow

it's important to me that this community knows that.
there are probably a lot of you here who didn't allow themselves to go to college.

It's been a nine year battle, but I'm finally graduating from college with a bachelor's degree and a certificate. It's important to me that this community knows that. There are probably a lot of you here who didn't allow themselves to go to college. I was one of them too. My father told me when I decided to go full time that he would not support me in any way if I was to ignore the GBs advice about college. I endured so many hardships these past nine years. Years and tears. But I'm glad I stuck to it. I have to say, the Society is absolutely right to fear education. If you went to college and it didn't cause you to fall out of the "truth" then I hate to break it to you, but, you weren't paying attention in class. Every word you hear in college shouts "Jehovah's Witnesses are not the true religion." And if you are REALLY listening, "There's no such thing as a true religion." The entire premise is ridiculous. So, if you are out there and thinking about college - just DO IT. You will be glad you did it.

being raised as a witness, you do things by rote.
but when you see sooooooooo many watchtower inconsistencies, mistreatment of the "brothers", elder abuse, and simple lack of love, it begins to make you start seriously thinking.

My English teacher in Satan's Community College had us write about a controversial subject we had strong feelings about. I chose the blood issue. Then the bastard told us the following week we had to write another paper on the same subject, but we had to take the opposite stance. This led to researching on the internet what "the other side" had to say about blood. This revealed many lies as you might imagine. I was gone, Daddy Gone after that.

i absolutely adore him - and what is there not to love!
he is the most kind, sweet and lovable man i have ever met.

Make sure he is willing to read books by exWitnesses. If he is not, would you want to be with someone who exhibits such foreclosure and close-mindedness in the area of his beliefs. Make sure you have good defenses practiced ahead of time for your own beliefs. Know how to defend your beliefs. JWs can be tricky, but if you are familiar with all the types of logical fallacies then you should be alright.
