the idea is to build a literal fence along the us border, hundreds of miles long and costing millions of dollars, in order to keep out illegal aliens.. damn you canadian outlaws!

Hate to tell you this bro, but you dont sound very sensible... but maybe Im wrong.
Right now we are trying to put a square peg into a round hole and pretend that there's nothing wrong with that. People can carry on about race and whatever else they want, but the reality of the situation is that this isn't good for our already weak economy and wont get any better. Our politicians are ignoring the will of the people and this is a hot issue here.
If you dont live here, I don't expect you to understand, but don't assume that someone is a biggot just because they dont like being walked all over.

hate to tell you this bro, you sound pretty racist to me... but maybe im wrong and i do understand your viewpoint here... but the problem here is that your comments are SWEEPING generalisations... i mean not every mexican, not even most mexican, not even a substancial part of mexicans are coming and stealing cars... its one in a thousand, if not smaller odds... and the other issue here is that, most of the car stolen are probably by your own people...
Let me clarify.. Im not saying that everyone that comes up from mexico steals cars... What I am saying is that we have on of the hightest rates (we were #1 in 2001) of auto theft in the country and a number of those vehicles end up in mexico.
I'm trying to locate stats for that right now, but see the first paragraph in this article

next thing is, its not the mexicans fault that the ER is full, its your governments... mine are full here too, and i do not blame immigrants, i blame the lack of funding from the government....
The thing is, we dont have that sort of health care system here, its not run by the goverment. The system is not intended to run in the fashion that its being used in and this is causing problems.
and take it from someone who is QUADRILINGUAL, learning another language may cost more in your tax dollars, but your childs intelligence levels will sky rocket just because he/she learned another language....
I never claimed that learning a second language was a bad thing.. As a matter of fact I am completely in favor of it.. The part that you are missing is that our educational system as it sits right now is geared to have english as the primary language.

Republicans want to keep out Coloreds, whether they are Mexican, Honduran, Gautemalans, etc.... They don't mind other whites, though, like say, ehh, from Canada.
Well that doesnt quite capture it. Living in a border state I can tell you that this is a real problem, though I doubt a huge fuckin fence is going to do anything to help the situation.
Here are a few issues that I personally have to deal with because of our lack of border control
My state has a insane car theft rate. A good portion of those cars find their way down to Mexico and because of this, I get to pay one the highest auto insurance rates in the country.
These same harmless illegals dont bother to get insurance on whatever they do drive which does nothing to solve the problem mentioned above.
If you need to go to the ER, you had better be prepared to wait for 8 hours or so as the illegals use this as their primary care doctor.
Schools are being forced to conduct classes in spanish and english to accomodate the children of the illegals, increasing the cost to the tax payer.... and then dont get me started on taxes...
I'm not a racist, I'm simply anti-burden.

(it is possible the wts might stop publishing the partaker numbers) in a few days, i will duly record the link to this thread for future reference.. remember that there were 8524 partakers in 2005 and 8758 partakers in 2006, an increase of 234 partakers.

When I was 5 and I was out with my Dad over summer break and on morning we had a woman come to the door wearing next to nothing. She opened the door and did this little bow to the side with an extended arm (without looking to see who it was at the door), said "Come in" in the sexiest voice she could muster and then turned to see my Dad and I standing there.
She then screamed, slammed the door and in a rather less sexy voice said "Please go away" from behind the closed door.
