Man I so wanted to part of the baby sitters club, I thought claudia was awesome.
I also wanted to move in with the Tanners and change my name to DJ.
What about drinking rasbery cordial and pretending it was gummi juice?

where i live, you can smell the odor of paper mills.
it's a port city and people speak french here.
i think the average age of people here is one of the higest in canada.. there is a shrine that attracts many tourists in the summer time.
I live in the biggest city in my country (which would make it a small city else where). It is between two harbours and there are around 50 dormant or extinct volcanoes in the city.
So there are lots of beaches and city parks.
hi friends, .
a good "fader" friend of mines wife was recently at the hospital.
she used to be a staunch witness but has since gotten fed up with the whole charade.

I have to agree with scully on this, while i think that at this stage a law suit would be over the top and possibly not viable, a written complaint to the hospital and appropriate regulating nursing body would not go amiss.
Scully
You sound like you make a fabulous preceptor! I have only just finished my degree and registration, so im very much a baby nurse at the moment but I aspire to drill the importance of ethics into any unfortunate students that get me, as well as you do, someday

nice reply(s) scully
My lecturers would have loved you
when i was a jw i remember believing that disfellowshipping was jws great and distinguishing feature.
great, because it got rid of the people that didn't take our righteous path seriously and wanted the temporary trappings of the world including all the sinful stuff and brought them back into our puritanical line if they genuinely repented.
the congregation therefore maintained a high christain standard.
I have to say I too take umbridge with your saying that all people who leave JW's do so because they cant hack the pace and would rather smoke, drink etc...
That is so so annoying to hear when you leave because you realise that the contract you entred at 14 years old, with a huge amount of encouragment/pressure from family and friends, is a crock.
At 14 i had no idea about the history of false prophecies, doctrinal flip flops and out right miss representations perpetrated by the borg. When I found out about these and decided to leave, my mother like you said it was because i just wanted to be like the other kids. I was highly insulted.
I am not disfellowshiped , yet. And you can bet that I will be extreemly upset about it if it does happen.

I am a nurse myself but am registed in NZ and have never practised in the states so i cant say what the laws are regarding patient records there. What i can tell you though is that in NZ it is illeagle to access the notes of a patient that you are not treating due to a personal connection (such as this) with out the authority of the person involved.
To look into a patients records you are not treating but know personally and then approach them about treatment decisions in this manner is HIGHLY unethical and certainly a manner that could/should be brought to the charge nurses attention.
Wow i cant believe that she would do that!
i decided to start this topic when ozziepost shared the experience of a bethel representative telling him and mrs. ozzie "and don't forget, we've got your children!
it's important for us to hear these experiences and to share them with each other.
it helps us tear down the mistaken beliefs that the incidents that happen to us are not isolated ones, but are in fact par for the course when one parts ways with the jws and wts.
so many horrendous experiences here
my most recent bad JW experience happened just after my mother had re-entered the work force after 20 years and during a very difficult time for our family. My mothers best friend (also a JW) had atempted suicide following the breakdown of her marrige.
Our book study conductor and elder (my guess, he is in his late 20's) annouces that we will be recieving a sheparding call. Of course my mum is greatly heartened by this believing that we will be recieving much needed spiritual encouragement.
When the two elders turn up my mum lets them know how she is feeling and the diffuculties we are facing at the moment as a family. And what do they do?? Reveal that they had not infact come around to offer encouragement or spiritual advise but instead to inform my mum that as our family are not spiritual enough (read not out in FS enough) the book study will no longer be held at our home.
Then after my mum had left the room in tears they left.
How loving.
i am on here a lot.
leafing through posts, taking the time out to read individuals' profiles, their topics.
i like to gain insight, get perspective on what it is like to be "on the other side" i guess you can say.
Hey Stilla
I guess resentment is a better word for my feeling regarding the WTS
Mostly because i feel they have robbed me of one of the most important relationships i had. Although me and my mum are in regular contact we interact on a dont ask dont tell basis. I guess she feels this is necessary as any knowledge of my numerous indisressions would put her in a tricky position with local elders etc.
That pissses me off. I dont know how many times i have wanted to share someting with her or ask for advice (im only 21) and have stopped short out of fear of losing the relationship we have.
hmmm maybe i am a little bitter...
sucking on lifesavers to stay awake.

Writting notes to my mum insiting on pink lamingtons at lunch
I was so gutted when they stopped having food. I was 10 or so and the loss of iceblocks and lamingtons was chrushing.
Going to toilets on the other side of the stadium to maximise time taken out from the program.
or know of people that do?
i wonder how many out there have named their kids from names from the bible.
two of my kids are on the list, but it wasnt done on purpose.
Jessica, I suppose you could say that it's biblical being the femine form of jesse
but any biblical ties would have been accidental, mum not becoming a witness till i was three
