Where were you when the realization hit, that the WTS was not in the truth?

i was listening to a testimonial by valerie acuff and she said that she was sitting in an assembly, looking around at the crowd and thinking to herself, "this is your family, these are your people.".

she said at that moment she heard a voice inside say, "these are not your people, this is not your family, get up and leave now, and don't ever go back.

" so she took her two children at that very moment and left, and she never went back.

having doubts..

i have not been on this board in a while for various reasons.

the main reason being that my best friend died on march 11th, and things have been different since that day.

i don't have words to describe how the void feels, so i won't even attempt.

i totally agree ...

maybe you could skip over the old testaement for now and focus on the NT , mainly Jesus's words. you might draw more comfort from that .

i haven't been involved with the jws in nearly five years now.

i was raised as a witness from the time i was seven until i was 17 and a junior in high school.

i don't have any particularly sad stories to tell, really, except that the process of leaving the organization--even though i was never baptised--was the hardest thing i've ever gone through.

I had read somewhere that the bethelite who headed the un scandal apologized in his Kingdom Hall (Brooklyn Heights) This KH has 3-4 members of the GB.
