Thinking of you, keep strong, hug your precious little family, and gather your reserves for the funeral - if you're going.
i receieved an sms of my mum saying nan was slipping away i literally called as soon as i got the msg, and she had already passed away.
things were looking up for a bit, we were managing to get some water and food into her and she had accepted to have a tube put in her, they tried last night but it was unsuccessful.. when i saw her on saturday it was the most alert she was, sunday she had very laboured breathing and tonight when my mum go into the hosp, my nan was no responsive, it was like she just waited for my mum to come in and then she passed away.. im in shock, even tho i knew it was coming it was looking hopeful for a bit there.. thanks for your support.

when mike and i went to the hosp on wed night after my nan had passed away, i tried to comfort my mum, she hardly wanted me to touch her.
i didnt even look at my dad for the first half n hour we were there.

Thinking of you, sorry that this is a tough time for you.

That's great
congratulations to you both.......I've got the warm fuzzies now,
there a loads of anti-jw sites out there.. if you had to choose just one as being the best (apart from jwd, of course!
), which one would you pick?
perhaps which was most helpful when you were leaving?
Ooh, post number 666, I had to put it here!!

My MIL did the same thing, and sometimes it is the best thing............her life was not good towards the end.
I'm glad you've been able to tell your nan how much she means to you before she goes.........
my thoughts are with you

hi folks.
as many of you will know i am having serious doubts regarding many of the jw teachings and doing some research myself, very enlightening.. my point - .
the bible clearly mentions armageddon, a destructive event, gods war.. jws believe this will happen soon and destroy all the wicked but let the righteous remain.
Hi The Scotsman.....not to be confused with "Scotsman"!
What is armagedon?.......
Armageddon
Armageddon is a taut fast-paced thriller which starts off great but gets tiresome toward the end. The plot is simple: an asteroid is headed on a collision course toward Earth. To stop it, the US government sends a bunch of roughneck oil drillers into space to drill a hole in the asteroid so they can drop and detonate a nuclear weapon inside, before it is too late.
The problem with disaster movies is that it is very hard to find an antagonist, i.e., someone you hate by the end of the movie. After all, an asteroid or a volcano or a twister doesn't give a rat's arse about what humans think (it can't). Some movies try to cast natural disasters as either a force out to teach us a lesson or as an evil entity. Wisely enough, the primary focus in Armageddon is the motley crew and not the rock floating through space.
I thought the visual effects were cheesy and the dialogue was corny. The character (we're introduced to one too many) development is non-existent. The acting is mixed: Bruce Willis is a great actor and he gets a lot of the spot light. Most of the other actors are just there for the entertainment value. Christopher Walken, er, William Fichtner, does a good job as captain of the space shuttle, but he appears to be the only one taking the movie seriously. Liv Tyler and Ben Affleck, as lovers, have the chemistry of oil and water. The sound track is dated (music by Trevor Rabin, who, although a great musician, could've done better here).
The one saving grace is that the action and suspense sequences are great. The attempts at humour work for the most part and make this movie enjoyable. Worth the matinee fare.

Oh, did you mean something different??
BTW, google "what is armageddon" and you're on the first page :)
You said it's hard sitting at a meeting thinking that you don't believe what you're being fed,.........there's many here that can relate to that.
Best wishes

my mums mum is very sick, she has been in hospital the last month with really bad infection, they have tried every time of antibiotics to get rid of it.
this last week she has refused to eat and drink, she told my mum she was tired of all of this, and basically said her goodbyes the other night.. we went in on saturday to see her, my mum was there, and even tho it was a little strained we managed to talk for a few hours it was nice to see her.. i got a phone call off my dad's mum today saying that my nan was deteriorating, so i msg my mum to see if this was true, it wasnt, my nan likes to dramatise things, my mum promised me she would keep me updated.
i received a phone call about an hour ago from my nan (dads mum) saying that the infection has cleared up and that she is improving and eating and drinking.
