Email from mum: new niece, and one more young sister breaks free...
by sass_my_frass inlast week my brother's wife (he's a young elder) had their second baby, a little girl.
he was good enough to let me know by phone text message, which will be the last thing i ever hear from him unless they keep breeding.
yesterday i got an email from mum, which had on it this email exchange... apologise for what might feel like an intrusion into their privacy, but, you know..... ________________________________________________________________.

Need to vent
by lola28 init's been one of those days, the kind that make you wish you never got up in the morning.
as many of you know my younger sister has lupus and had to go on meds late last year thankfully she has gotten much better these past few months, but it seems that there's always a trade off, we get good news only to be hit by bad news.
a few weeks ago she went to her doctor for a check up and they did a few tests, late last week they called me because they had some bad news, there was sugar in her urine and her blood, it seems that this is a result of the steroids that she is on for the lupus.

Hi Sweet girl
your sis can get through this and so can you. I know it's not fair. Get some time out, have a good rest and then go be there for her again. I'm a Diabetes Educator, and once her sugars are under control she should start feeling much better than before.

My car was stolen at the shops today
by Es ini was in the shops for not even an hour, get back and my car is gone!!!!
it had the baby seat, bottles for kaia, luckily i took the pram in with me and my expensive jacket.
we had to buy another car seat for kaia.. im so annoyed that they didnt even care that they would be leaving a mother with her child stranded at the shops.. anyway reported to police and insurance now just have to wait and see if they find it or not.

That's bad Es. Hope your insurance covers it. Sometimes it's better not to get the car back if it's insured enough.

What do you think the Earth will be like in 20 years time?
by winnie inapparently according to the latest info (presented on a news channel) the earth as we now know it will be drastically different in 20 years time.
ie new coastlines, hotter temperatures.
they are painting a very bleak future unless we make drastic changes now.

Teleportation would be great wouldn't it. I could duck over to the auld country with the blink of an eye. Only I keep thinking about the movie "The Fly" - Jeff Goldblum, I loved that film, but I don't think "Brindleflycrumpie" would be so attractive!!

its a tiny part of it but the accuracy is paramount and i can't get my head around it and so if anyone can help with the math i'd be very grateful.. .
i want to show what percentage higher the gni of the uk is above france.

Vinyl recordings of Rutherford etc
by veen inso i remember my grandmother having these old vinyl recordings with the dude ranting away.
do you think it would be worth me trying to getting hold of them, or are they already available in the public domain.
i wish i was a hardcore anti jw when i was younger 'cos i would listen to those beauties now, at the time i thought they were just boring.

My parents have a stack of old JR records. They're 78rpm so none of us can play them. I should go out and get a turntable that can handle them and put them on MP#, (one day when I've got notheing better to do!)

Sorry Crumples, I read your example twice and my head was swimming. I also had thoughts of "OK, people in france make less money, but they have better weather, beautiful wine, and say ooh lala a lot...........that's got to be worth something!!!
