Okay so this is for an assignment - due in at midnight tomorrow. Its a tiny part of it but the accuracy is paramount and I can't get my head around it and so if anyone can help with the math I'd be very grateful.
I want to show what percentage higher the GNI of the UK is above France. In the table of stats UK GNI is 33,360 and France is 30,370.
My question is the sum this: 33630 - 30370 = 3260. then 3260/ UK 33630 = 0.0969 x 100 = UK GNI is 9.69% over France.
OR
Is the sum this: 33630 - 30370 = 3260. Then 3260/France 30370 = 0.107 x100 = UK GNI is 10.73 over France?
I'm not sure whether I calculate using the lower figure as the base for percentage increase or the higher and am confused and stuck and never very good with figures anyway....
