"but your sweaty balls, penis and pubic hair sure as hell aren't. "
Hey ! Mine are. For nearly twelve years now.
Anyhow, I know this guy that can set up these really tiny cameras especially for toilets so you can see who washes their hands.

Do you wash your hands after using the restroom?
by John Doe ini've noticed a disturbing trend where 90% of guys don't wash their hands after using the restroom, and probably 25% don't even after number two'ing.
encouragingly, about 80% of the guys in law school do wash their hands.
(i know it's weird, but i count) .

I spoke to a member of the HLC for 2 hours on Saturday.......
by fifi40 ini mentioned on a recent post about an elder who had asked to visit with me on saturday...........he was a friend of my dad's for years.
so he came on saturday morning and we spoke for several hours in a pleasant and friendly manner but discussing a lot of jw related subjects.. so in light of the recent death of a young jw mum i thought i would share with you all some of the comments made by this elder who is one of 5 elders on the hlc for our area.. he was quite proud of the work he does helping both jws facing the situation of blood transfusion and his dealing with the medical staff involved.
i told him i would have a blood transfusion now if it was deemed necessary and that i would battle for my son to have one, who is nearly 15, despite the fact that his father has bought him as a jw.

"...That seemed to be his general conclusion.......if we havent got it right it will in time get sorted......."
Using this sort of logic - couldn't one argue that even the Catholics (or fill in your favorite religion) could 'get it right' eventually? If so - then why should one be so concerned about religion to begin with?
I mean... if religion's right or wrong is not the issue... if 'they'll get it right eventually' is... then any religion will do.
I'm going to write this down and remember it! -

Time change - aftermath
by Jim_TX inwell... yesterday was the day i decided to change all of the clocks - since i didn't need to get up at a specific time, so didn't bother to set the bedroom alarm clock.. i have amassed quite a collection of wall clocks - about 5, with 1 mantle clock - that chime the hour - and the half-hour.
most of these are of the spring wind-up type.. it is not good to just spin the hands on these types of clocks backwards - as that may ruin them - so i went from one to the other - spinning the hands forward - through each half-hour - and then each hour - chime/gong... then on to the next - all 11 hours.
i did this with all six of the clocks.

I'm pleased for you Jim.
I thought this might be a thread about the generation change fallout! LOL.
Just thought I'd chime in with that.

Phew! That's better. Thanks Crumpet ;)
Got visited by elder just before I was baptized in '83. He was concerned that I was succumbing to materialism because I'd just bought a turntable, amp and speakers on H.P.! -

To bite me; you're correct about the Christadelphians, much similarity with Jw's. All the 'Adventist' religions have some sort of crossover. There's a largish following here in NZ incidentally.

Bethal Open Day
by Princess Daisy Boo inuseless information: my bethalite sister excitedly tells me that they are having a massive open day next week at the local bethal... all neighbouring homes and businesses and their service providers etc have been invited and they will be providing tours and catering lunches etc.
wonder what they think they will achieve - a mass conversion when people see what bethal is like or something?
my mother always seems to think that once folk see bethal, they can't but believe that this must be the "truth".

This kind of thing was done in the former Soviet Union to 'prove' to invited guests how modern and forward thinking the Communist government was and that the rest of the world should stop being critical of them.
Outfits that need to shore up their flagging public profile will do this.
However, this may be a new Bethel branch in which case an open day is not unusual.
