I am unfamiliar with this book, so I had to look it up on Amazon. Irony is right.
And here is an ummmmmmm interesting review of it
i saw the funniest thing in a second hand book store i was in last night.... a second hand copy "the greatest man" book for sale, for r 49.50 (about $7 )and guess what... the inscription in the book was "dear mom, merry christmas, with love from chantel".
oh the irony - i did have a laugh!.

this beats me to death.
traffic, crowds, waiting to check out.
then on to another store to repeat the process.
Wooooooooohoooooooooo!!! I just got in, and had a grrrrrreat day of shopping! I had 2 people guide me to the parking places they were leaving, only to find they were right in front! I had the kid at the Bicycle shop give me 25.00 off my purchase, because "I was so friendly, not like those customers that make my work life hellish". I am pretty much done, except for a pile of books I will get tomorrow when I leave work which is right next to the book store. The tree is lit, and smells of pine. All the lights in my little village are on, and I am drinking Chardonnay. Sigh............. I love this time of year.
here is the deal, and some of you probably already know my oven conked 2 days ago.
the top works but the interior does not.. i have ordered a spiral ham, i have great bean recipe for stove top, and coleslaw......but i need other side dishes that can be heated or cooked either on the grill or stove top...... i'm desperate.....do you have anything?
i can't bake/broil.
Restrangled, I make my ham on the BBQ ever since I had to, for lack of oven space. It's delish! Do you have a crock pot or even two? There are some desserts that look great done in the CP. Also, you might be able to do something along the lines of scalloped potatoes in one. I am just thinking, haven't looked anything up.
Have you ever made a Trifle? Look those up too, fantastic and beautiful desserts, a lot like Prophecor's banana pudding. Which just happens to be on my list this year! I haven't had that in 20yrs I bet.

Strange, I've always felt a definite rift in the space time continuum on Sept. 23rd. Something unholy.
what can i do to make the world better?.
what can i do to change the world for the better?.
i have joined several on line communities that cater to these very questions.
I'm a freaky love child! Wait, is this the oral sex thread?
Actually Blue, I've had a blast out shopping this holiday season. It seems that the love is flowing. I chat with people where ever I go. It's kind of amazing sometimes, how much people seem to appreciate the interaction. Do you realize that in today's world, we can go shopping, buy gas, check out at the library, and never speak to another living person?
I was out shopping all day on Tuesday, and I forgot to eat. I started feeling sick, and getting a major headache. I decided to do the dreaded drive through. As I approached the entrance, a guy pulled in in front of me from the other side, he got there first, and had every right. He was so nice! He looked over and motioned he was sorry, then he actually backed up and let me in! I sat there in line, thinking about it and how rare and nice it was. So when I got up to the window, I paid for his order too, before I even had time to think about it. It made me feel good, I was able to thank him. I pulled out just as I could see him waving out the window. I couldn't help but hope that both of us would continue to move through our day and feel the love.
get a tub of fresh chicken livers.
rinse, dry with a paper towel and dredge them in a beaten egg and roll them in bread crumbs mixed with some garlic and onion salt, paprika, black pepper and a little chili powder.. fry them in about a 1/2 inch of hot oil to a nice golden brown (the liver cooks before the batter browns so don't worry about raw liver).
drain and cool.
I'll take Pozole, great flavor, many of the same ingredients as Menudo, and no tripe
Liver..................liver.............I tried beef liver with onions once, nearly puked. Turkey gravy with the organ meats (other than gizzard) is good. Well Gregor, I'd try it if you did the cookin'.
apart from "ad hominem", there are a bunch of other "arguments" that are used widely, but actually don't hold any value.. .
one i find very often to be used is "tu quoque" (you too!).
like in "yes, i believe without evidence, but you believe too!"..
Ok, now we're back on topic. The above is an example of a strawman, a false comparison, and an ad-hominem logical fallacy
Actually, no. I drew no conclusions. I merely said you "remind me of".
Here's to you and the object of your obsequious, sycophantic desires:
This would be a fallacy.
work with me here...this occurred to me last night as i was trying to get back to sleep after waking up with a 2-year-old, so i'm kinda fuzzy.... god supposedly watches everything you do, judges you, then you get the "gift" of ever lasting life.. santa supposedly watches everything you do, judges you, then you get gifts on christmas morning.. sound familiar?.
so, why is it that "god" is real but "santa" is fictional?
hmmm?
But Santa Claus has origins in reality.......... http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Santa_Claus

BA, you remind me of Rush Limbaugh. It seems you are of the "If I say it enough, with enough sarcasm, it must be so" school of thought.
james carrollthe politics of religion in america by james carroll december 17, 2007 what in the name of god is going on in american politics?
mitt romney's "faith in america" speech, riddled with mistaken assertions about religion, was itself a warning.
but other presidential candidates, debate moderators, pundits, and religious leaders all share a dangerous confusion about questions of faith and citizenship.
This is what I was watching Sunday morning, Meet the Press. Tim Russert. I got about 5 minutes into the interview with old Mitt, and I had to leave the room.

He has the nerve to mention JFK. Spinning it to appear that they are in agreement on the issue!!! I will never for the life of me understand how people in this country can ignore, or worse embrace, what is happening.
