  Personally I'm not here to be guided by the Spirit but neither is the false prophesying org you belong to. There is a lot of spirit in this forum which attracted me to join in the first place

  I have a friend who coined the phrase "Worshipping the Goddess" for P Power. I think that is quite an apt euphemism.
  Some rich old folk and young for that matter lose millions for the chance to worship the goddess!

  do watchtower writers ever feel the least amount of shame in grasping for doom and gloom across more than a century?.

  do they ever experience any sense of conscience in heralding causes for fear that have nothing to do with "armageddon"?.

  when nuclear war protests were in vogue, did they herald these while knowing that "armageddon" could never be.

  One that the R&F really cling to is that the world today -the last days- is worse than it was 100 years ago or 1000 years ago. This is simply not true. Nobody living today would want to live in medievil times or Ghengis Khan days or when the great plague killed off a third of Europe.
  What would the JW mags have said had they been around in those days?
  Today living standards are higher and life span is at least 20 years longer.
  Yes, parts of Africa are starving but when was that not an issue on this planet.
  Neanderthals, fully homosapiens are now extinct. I suppose Armageddon came ten thousand years too soon for them.

  i'm so upset by two vicious women who came to my work today.

  i was helping a man in my line and they tried to cut in front.

  i politely explained that as soon as i finished with my customer, i would help them.

  If what you say is true then billions of people have been sold a lie for the last 3000 years beneficial effects to ensuing Judeochristain cultures notwithstanding. That is absolutely staggering!! They say the text is inspired of God and they can't even get their story straight.

  would you then say that the early Christians got it hopelessly wrong, that the jewish interpretation (ie a warring hero)was the correct way the original writers of the OT wanted it interpreted? Or did the original writers mean it the way the Christians have interpreted it regardless of whether that Christ was the one?

  Interesting, whose fault was it that they were expecting the wrong kind of Messiah, was it the bible writers who weren't clear or the machinations of the pharasees during Christ's evangilising?
