If the Bible was inspired of God and God knew that it's fulfillment would be post 1914 then why did he not use his intelligence to make it reader friendly over the centuries by guiding language development to fit the only true interpretation.
I mean, if Microsoft can make user friendly applications why can't God.

How can someone who doesn't know the language..translate a book?

How Do I Get Rid of these Thoughts?
by jwfacts inthough i no longer think like a witness i still think "that is what i would think if i was still a witness".. everytime i see a birthday party or christmas on tv i think "ohh, if i was a jw i would think they were pagan, and not really having fun.".
when i speak to someone at work and they say they got drunk or wasted on the weekend i think "oooh, if i was a jw i would be offended by that, but i don't really care anymore.".
i would much prefer to be able to take life for what it is, not constantly compare what it was with what it is and what i am thinking it will be.. any suggestions on how to erase the ridiculous notions that were drummed into me from birth?

"The Bible, remarkably for its time, notes that the eighth day after birth is the safest time to perform circumcisions (Gen. 17:12; Lev. 12:2-3)."
Even if this does turn out to be true, it means nothing because they had thousands of childen to practise on over many centuries. Isolating the eighth day as the one that gives the lowest child mortality isn't going to take that long.
Personally I think it's a stupid custom that is still practised to this day. -

I wouldn't worry about it, time will erase these thoughts from your mind. I remember three years after I had faded from JWs I was offered to sign a birthday card, I did it but felt guilty. I'll sign anything now! -

I read in a book a few years back that Australian aboriginies would split their penises length ways so that when they got drunk during there dancing round the fire ritual they couldn't piss on the fire and put it out!!

I like the following points you made. They seem very plausible.

we have the nt and the apocrypha, ancient texts that tell a story of the early christians.

Actually this is an interesting point. The only answer I have is once something takes hold especially something that offers hope of everlasting salvation even for the ordinary person and not just the Emperors and Pharaohs it can spread like wild fire. Look at islam. -

by golden age inwhy are jws so against blood transfustions, do they not see that this is exactly the oppositie of what jesus taught.
jesus taught that healing was allowed on the sabath, even though if violated the rule of not working on the sabath, he was teaching that in the event of an emergency life is more important than the law.
how would a jw feel if a loved one died and then 2 months later the wt said new light told them that transfusions are ok. (do not say this will not happen, becasue they originally said vaccinations were a direct violation of the everlasting covenant with god and must be avoided, now they say vaccines are good.

I don't know about the US but in the UK it's dog food unless you go to expensive restaurants.
They use artificial flavour enhancers cos Chinese cusine is tasteless of its own, cheap cuts of meat and poultry and cheap oils.
