how do i stop her?

i know for a fact she is doing it for show, to show that she is a mature sister.

Excellent idea but she is going to say, so what. If I say, it is a serious commitent, she will say, I am serious, and she will actually believe it.

I will try this but not show it as a tactic of desuading her but pretend that I'm just interested in what happens to disfellowshipped people them maybe, for example, remind her that she loves showing too much clevage when out of site of the elders and other stuff she gets up to.

I don't know what is in those publications. A couple a years ago I found many 100s of their publications in my attic and threw every single one of them in a skip. Adios.
Some people tell me to let her get on with it and others say to actively stop her. I know her idiotic dad would love for her to get baptised so that then he can go out scouting for a rich husband. He has already told her that she is too fat, she needs to slim down, otherwise who is going to marry her; The idiot has dollar signs in his eyes when he talks like that. Her mother has already told her to not even think about marrying someone without loads of dosh otherwise she is going to suffer like her mother.
Anyway if he found out I stopped her he'd come over to me with a crowbar!! How dare I ck up his financial future.
I get angry just writing this stuff because as a young child she was the sweetest little girl beyond reproach, now she has turned into something unendearing. Shame.

i'm not feeling too good and if it wasn't for my mom threatening to put me on suicide watch, i would be dead by now.

anyways, i think i might have to get hospitalized soon.

i was one of those.

i would go the the hall all dressed up like a good jw, listening to jw music in my car and would try to make a good comment at the hall, and when the meeting was over, i would get out of the hall as fast as possible, go home, almost rip off my shirt and suit and put my jeans and t shirt on and listen to rock music and watch some extreme sport on tv....and become worldly again as fast as possible.

My brother-in-law loves inviting the JW top-dogs to his house for a sumptuous dinner cooked by his dutiful wife (dutiful only during this show). When the show is over they go back to their love of materialism and screaming at each other and generally wishing they never got married.

As I've mentioned in another thread my niece is now ready to continue this vicious circle by getting baptised early for show purposes.

for those who are not familiar with the story heres the page.

so just to sum it up a bit, this girl caught her dad watching porn, told me about it and then talk about ways to get him to stop watching it.

apparently she never told the elders and apparently he stopped watching porn.

I think Dunes friend is may come to her senses and go herself to the police. For this to happen though, first someone must impress upon her that it is the right thing to do. That will probably have to take some convincing as is it her father she needs to tell on.

Dune, I think that that person could be you, 1)It solves the problem of you going to the police 2) the police will be informed and 3) it absolves you of your moral responsibility now that you know.
You need to make her realise she involved you in this problem when she told you so maybe she will listen to you about going to the police.
