Jesus had a Twin Proof!!!

judas thomas is known to the world as jesus brother.

most all bible scholars have no problem with this, what is of interest to me is a matter of controversy the translation of didymos used before his name in the greek manuscripts didymos literally translates into english as twin.

if you take the bible as the true gospel of gods hand then jesus had a twin brother.

Does the Watchtower Society Monitor this Board???

maybe this has been addressed before, but after reading certain comments about people being "outed", i wonder if the wts really monitors this site?

if so, to what extent?

or is it just individual elders etc.?.

How can they be "spying" if we have nothing to hide? Wouldn't it be called a form of "worship" keeping up with what we are doing? They can be the Papartzie if they choose to in my opinion. If we ask Jesus questions, are we "spying" or "worshipping" Him? Pretty simple to me......

I would love to hear your thoughts though.....

Do JWs take Genesis literally?

as i grew up as a jw it seemed that we accepted genesis was a literal account with the only question being how long a creative day was.

for the longest time, as best as i can recall, a creative day was considered a thousand years long, based on the ole "a thousand years is as a day to jehovah" rule.. somewhere though, it seems that there was some waffling on how long a creative day was.

especially since science was showing that the earth was millions of years old.. since i've faded i wonder, do jws today consider genesis as a literal account of how things were created, even if they can't explain the exact length of a creative day?.

Ok, Got to say something here....What was Adam and supposed to be like? What was so wrong with wanting to be like God? Ever think the serpent might have been put there to HELP them become like God? Or were they meant to be scared, unquestioning, obedient, slaves, robots? Or children of God? Was the serpent wanting them to be equal to him, or under Him? (Like religous leaders want today). That is the question....Did he want to be over them, rule them, or did he want to feed them ASAP to become up to his level. Does Jehovah want us to obey, out of fear, or by an informed choice? Genesis, holds a great deal of insight into how our Father does things. Just ask Jesus.......

i have heard quite a few witnesses when confronted with "you are brain-washed" merely reply " well in satans world, my brain was so bad it needed washing, so i am glad i got brain-washed" - difficult when one is confronted with an attitude like that

I called the society's # 845-306-1100 today to ask some questions. The operator said she had hundreds of calls and couldn't talk. Told me to call back tomorrow. I wonder if I do, what if I say I am interested, and would like to ask a couple of questions? Would I be doing anything wrong? Could I word it in a way, that it would be ok to do so? I am "intrigued" in the truth you hold, Am I allowed to ask questions before making my final decision? Yeah, that is it! Let them open the "door". see how far this is allowed. It will give me good idea how threatened they are by each question I pose. I can then focus on the most threatening ones. I wonder how it feels to to have such authority over peoples lives, to suddenly one day have to accept the responsibilty too. Proving their "gods" lazy, and far behind the spiritual need. I mean they have 144,000 of them right?

They are "slaves" of God. Slaves to sin. They are obeying rules out of fear, not by choice. Because they never questioned any of them.

Is "willing ignorance" a bad thing? Not trying to pick on anyone I swear...I am just curious..

I have come to a possible conclusion....Is wanting to be able to see into the future a bad thing? Why not enjoy the ride, and stop worrying about wanting to know what tomorrow brings? What would be the fun in it....You could never make a mistake, therefore you couldn't learn or grow. Am I off base?

i was talking to a friend the other day and he brought up something i hadn't thought about before.

he said that suppose the entire world was wiped out except for say 100 people.

humans have made huge advances being industrialized, but in this scenario, things as they are now could not be maintained.

i think that every one on this site goes way over the top calling jehovahs wittnesses names you spend more time trying to prove them wrong than you do prasing god.i mean is this your purpose in life.if you no more about the bible than the wittnesses then go straght a head and speak.but dont act like a spoiled brat calling people names.a lot of people on this site will belevae what they want to beleave because it suits there lifestyle lets get to the root of whats realy in your hearts

I have to smile when I think of them going to a door, and finding themselves in God's shoes having to face the responsibilty of answering so many questions. I think they will find, they really don't want all that power and authority after all. That is why I am so Glad we have Jesus.(The Bible) the "workshop manual" for our cars.
