  some late news just in....

  a smiling defense secretary donald rumsfeld told the world's media at the pentagon today that it has been confirmed that a massive cache of pea shooters of the type pictured below have been unearthed near mosul in the north of iraq.

  also, in an unpopulated region close to the syrian border, us troops discovered large fields designed to supply the ammunition for these weapons, i..e. peas.

  Flashing and Society rules.

  last year, we had a strange one at bethel.

  a bro used to go on the adult chat channels, and send web cams of himself aroused for all to see.

  any a little while later he sold his computer a bro and sis thinking that he had erased all the pictures.

  Well he hadn't

  The local elders wern't sure what classification of sin to handle the matter under, so they rang the society

  After clarification came in from Brooklyn this was the decision.

  It was to be handled the same as a person flashing in a public place.

  1. If it was a one off instance then it was UNCLEANESS and could be handled by just 2 elders and brushed under the carpet

  2. If it was a practice, then is was LOOSE CONDUCT, and a judicial committee formed. and was more seroius.

  So Girls if you are flashed by a JW, ask them whether it is a one of or a practice to see if they get punished....or just dial 999/911 like any normal person

  Blood, HLC, question

  jacques luc of belgium has a question for anyone who knows about the no-blood policy.

  when a jw enters a hospital for any treatment or surgery, he/she of course tells the staff that as a jw he/she can't accept any blood transfusion.

  now jacques has heard from good authority, that in european countries, the hospital liaison committee now gives the doctor or surgeon in charge of the jw patient a document from the watch tower society, that says that if their conscience dictates them to use blood to treat the jw patient, the watch tower society would not sue them, nor would the patient....

  "Serving" as a woman

  this would somewhat apply to anyone who "served" in areas as a 'dub but especially to women.

  there were always those areas that women simply were not allowed to serve.

  and even the most menial tasks such as serving lunch on a quick build or cleaning toilets at the kh required "good standing" and an approval by the elders .

  My brother (an elder) was telling me recently that he and some friends are working "quick builds" almost every weekend - and they made up some fun t-shirts that said "I'd rather be Quick building". They were counseled by other elders and are no longer allowed to wear the shirts at the quick builds

  We wern't allowed to wear sleeveless t shirts , had to have short sleeves

  And logo shirts either with messages on the front

  e.g Relax Or Choose Life ( must dig those out again)

  i want to ask a deep question here, only because i want to know your answer..... i was listening to my mum and dad tonight watching a programme on the discovery channel about how in so many million years the sun will implode or explode and destroy all life in our solar system and beyond.

  my dad was fascinated and was arguing with my mum who said it's rubbish because that isn't jehovah's purpose for the earth.

  If you look at the world, as in nature, you would see it everywhere. Everything lives for a while, then dies. Animals that have 98% the same genetic code as we naturally live for a few years, and then, naturally die. So, why would we be exceptions? It's a wt lie that says otherwise.

  Sometimes - not often I need to see the real page where they said something just to prove they are lying when they now say "We never said it" Seeing the editing that was done was a real eye-opener for me and helped a lot of pieces fall into place. It is one thing for someone on the net to say it was edited but after having been duped once I want proof that they did indeed offer prophesies and then lied about it.

  i took a specialised law exam yesterday, and i should really have been revising hard this past month, but because of what happened with my dad, i didn't.

  even though i won't get the results till next week i know that i have failed , and the company that i work have never had anyone fail this exam before.

  so i am a bit cheesed off.
