Will do. Hopefully it might also end up in the letters section of the online edition. Maybe just maybe everyone is heads up on the JWs after the death of the mother in Telford.

IMPORTANT: JWS and the CHARITIES COMMISSION
by Dansk indear all (especially those in the uk),.
following on from danny's excellent post here: http://www.jehovahs-witness.com/16/128626/1.ashx i have just sent an e-mail to the charities commission.
some time ago i wrote to you about the dangers of jehovah's witnesses and how they don't deserve charity status because far from helping mankind they are a real danger to it.

This WT article makes me mad.... this is evil
by dawg init's bad enought that young people in the wt have to sell magizines, risk shunning when they find out the truth about the gb... but this article really makes me laugh and angry at the same time.
the part that made me the maddest was when the father said he "conquered" the habit, lying bastard!

I began galloping the maggot just before and then immediately after meetings. Later I learned Jehovah's view of the matter: "Thou Shalt not have a wank" it clearly said. I felt terrible every time I gave in. ‘How could Jehovah love someone like me?’ I asked myself. After all, my right arm was almost twice the size of my left - Luiz.

We Should Give Newbies the Benefit of the Doubt
by flipper inconsidering what has gone on at this board the last couple months, i thought this would be good to discuss !
it's true that some here are somewhat jaded and untrusting of others because of the deception pulled by " trevor" and the whole " trevorgate " thing.
that being said and acknowledged however , think about what makes us not trust others as ex-witnesses.

LOL @ Outlaw
It's the Emperors we should be suspicious of not the Newbies. It's the Emps who've been going off the rails.
Lisa of course you're welcome. On your thread there was a bit of a scrap, mainly because there was someone on there having a go at you who's about as welcome here as a turd in a punchbowl. Don't let that put you off. You'll get lots of support and make many friends here. Stick in there.

A soldier was returning from Iraq where he had fought with distinction and been decorated. His wife and son knew he was due home but not when, so the boy on seeing his father approach the driveway, jumped up in surprise and ran into the house. "Mom Mom! Dad's coming up the drive and he looks like he's got a purple heart on." the proud lad gasped.
"Never mind what colour it is," snapped the Mother. "Go and play next door!"

Do Witnesses Care About Chronology Anymore?
by minimus inlet's say christ threw the devil out in 1914, so what?
does 1914 have any real signifance to a jehovah's witness anymore?
all i can see is that "this proves we're living in the last days of the last days".

Liberty I agree with that 100%. Very succinctly put.

rare memorial attendance for 1928
by cultswatter inhttp://www.sektenausstieg.net/index.php?option=com_content&task=view&id=310&itemid=29.
the memorial attendance for 1928 is listed as 17,380. this shows that at least 75% percent of the watchtower members left after rutherford lied to them.. i was wondering where the above site gets it's source from ??
i always thought the wts was embarrased to publish numbers when there was a decrease.. maybe someone of you know what wts publication these numbers came from?.

Cultswatter thanks for that link to your earlier thread. I hadn't seen that and it was very interesting. I'd not appreciated the extent of the 1925-28 fallout, even taking into account the various schisms. I'm surprised Rutherford didn't cite "the love of the greater number will cool off."

Edited to say - Oops I meant to put this in Phillipus's thread http://www.jehovahs-witness.com/12/145991/1.ashx

Hey Scots laddies, who do you reckon was the best ever Scottish footie player? There was a golden age when I was a kid even though they had to contend with Alf Ramsay's side. How about Dennis Law, Charlie Cooke or Alan Gilzean?
