a couple of days ago a north american alligator was found wandering in a scout camp a few miles south of here.
finding a crocodile on the australian south coast is strange.

It might be some students rag week thing. I've recently called pest control in to oust an Aussie saltie from my garden pond. There's a lot of weird misplaced crocodilian type stuff going on at the moment.

as a young child i oftern had dreams that came true.
there was a particular tragic event i dreamt and i remember waking and thinking that could never happen.
however the dream did become reality.. i wonderd if any have also had this exsperience?
Cluless yes I've had them from time to time since I was a kid. Not long ago a friend of mine had a dream about a football match score, which when we checked it was 50/1 at the bookmakers, primarily because it was a statistically less likely 4-2 outcome. We put money on it - me £10 and him £50, and that's how it turned out. 6th goal was scored in injury time! What a great day that was. I've always been fascinated by precognitive dreams. An Experiment With Time by J.W.Dunne is a famous book on the subject and a fascinating read. Dunne was an Irish aeronautical engineer who had them, started compiling a dream dictionary and then put his thoughts/findings in the book. There's quite a lot about it on the web.

Hey Nic how you doing? You're a favourite poster of mine and I read your "lame or not" thread with great interest. But it seemed to me you got to stalemate. Sometimes it's best to throw the proposition out there and leave it alone after a time. Fluff can be contentious too you know.

One I always liked was Jehovah's Bystander which appears to be an epithet for a person engaged in JW activity but resisting the final step of baptism. This could also apply to spouses who show approval and ocassionally rock up for memorials or JW social events.
Also walking dead could be bird food. One of the more pleasant Dub expressions, which I suppose could be in the dictionary as it's used as an example of their compassion. Must think of some more.

Coco, good luck with the pooch minding old bean. As a life long doggie fanatic, I recall one conversation which cut me to the quick. As a JW child I'd taken for granted that my canine chums would either survive the impending apocalyse with me, or be resurrected to paradise earth. To be told by an evil elderette at a study that animals in no way would survive death was a crushing disappointment to me, but of course it had to be true - The Watchtower said so.

Hopefully the transition will be like when there's a new Dr. Who or James Bond. Lots of teeth gnashing and anxiety and subsequently a feeling that not much has changed.
