I am believer here. If you need answers about God, I can try to answer. I am not JW, I am Lutheran (conservative wing). But anyway, get out of this cult... and listen to people who were there (I never been JW, managed to escape them).

Well it is no problem for us - christians - but it is problem for JW. In first it is God's Hands and in second - God's Spirit! Father and Son is God and still they are not each other and there are no meny gods. Actually... sometimes thinking about trinity is eazy if you thing about word "God" as a material. Everyone who is made of this material is God and is ethernal, omnipotent, omniscent etc. And enything wht is God is creator of universe. God is not title, God is substance, material, nature... loving, creating, good nature which brings to reality what it says!

need some info on pagan symbols...
by DannyBloem inwhat pagan symbols are ok for the jw's to use, and are there some clear effidence that they are pagan.. i'm thinking about the neck-tie.
the wedding ring (any proof?).
probably a crown on a kings head will be pagan too ..... what else?

Common. No ANY symbol actually is "pagan" by itself. It is YOU (human) who puts this meaning into items. Items by themselves are not good or evil. As Paul sayed... there is nothing unclean by itself, but for one who thinks it is unclean it is! See... not what comes into you (symbol) makes you sin, but whatever comes out of you makes you dirty. Try to undestand Jesus words and you will see, that people still put some "powers" on plain items, wood, iron, stone. But there is only power in alive beings. And one who you put your hope on is your God. But ofcourse... not everybody has strong faith still believing that eating meat is sin! ;)

How does one choose to die if they think the JWs are right?

So if such day comes "when car hits you" I would prefare to have somebody allready pay for my sins coz I can't offer ANYTHING to my God, as whatever good I do it is from God himself, not my deeds... is there somebody who could set me free from sin? Answer this question and you will see the path, life, ressurection and TRUTH!

by jaada inhello, i am new to this board, i am not a jehovahs witness however i studied with them for years, i went out into service a couple of times, but i havent done anything in 4 years.
i am so confused.
i always have been scared of the last days thing, but i could never accept the fact that while i was in the meetings, my husband and parents were all at home and the witnesses would tell me that unless they changed and started coming to the meetings that they would be killed!

Saboteur, neither good behaviour, nonsmoking, outer appearance of love and other good things makes your teaching true! Why I sayed only "outer appearance of love", coz I never heared of Watchtower being in some charity I didn't see the WT on the list of New Orleans helping organizations, the first in the list were Churches, then Salvation Army, then Red Cross... no WT. Where their love? I never seen WT in African hunger solving but WT is multibillion organization, they could afford some charity and to SHOW that their have fruits of love. Haven't seen that! Does apostates hides this? I never seen WT working with mentally handicapet people! I haven't seen much WT working in prisons! Most... I havent seen WT HELPING in big! If they are true religion then their good deeds should overhelm the news and the world! If they are from God, then let their deeds be observed to make us believe that WT has fruits of love! Sorry dude... as I sayed, good behaviour does not make your teachings true!

But for christians "End Days" are the best what can happen, coz then Jesus Christ will come and reclaim his flock and rise all dead and everybody who believes in Jesus will go to heaven. So actually "end days" are horrible for JW, but blessed for anyone believing in Christ as his Lord and God. Ones who put their hope on Christ will not be cut off as Christ has payed for your sins. He had your punishment you now have his life!

Parousia and invisibe presence

i claim that the greek "parousia" doesn`t mean invisible presence, it simply means "presence".

Yea right. It takes triple the text to proove "fleshy ressurection" to "spiritual ressurection" instead of believing what bible says. Can anybody point me to the place in bible where somebody (besides Jesus) is ressurected NOT in his previous body? Or what about Deeds 8:39-40 was Philip also spiritual superbeeing to be able move around. Or whas Jesus allready spiritual being when he was walking the water? Common... if Jesus is not ressurected, but there is some spiritual copy of Jesus which did not die for our sins, then you are still under damnation of God. See... this is where JW looses their salvation - not believing that Jesus himself give HIS life (not body), DIED and RESSURECTED (in his own body) and gained WHOLE power in the heaven and the earth. So... diagnosis for JW is - burning in the hell even if they don't believe it! Simple and plain... hell is what awaits JW... and their interpretation will not save them!

although im agnostic and not a bible believer, im currently having regular visits/discussions with a couple of jw elders.
im fully aware of the jw doctrine that christ is a created being and im familiar with scriptural texts and the reasoning they use in support of that claim.

See you are good example of normal human bible nonbeliever who understands Bible as it is written. That different cults and sects change meaning of words and even whole sentences using ANY argument they can find or even invent. They use "logic" to proove you spiritual things. Ok... now to John 1:3 this word "by" is greek "dia", which I believe stands for english "by". English is only my 2nd foreign language, so I can't say for sure. In my language there is no such word as "by" with the same meaning as in english. I believe that the word "by" may be used somehow different in Kings James times or whatever. But I guess correct rendering should be "by". But there are scriptures where the same construction is applied clearly to God... Heb 2:10, Rom 11:36. But also the same claims which are sayed in John 1:3 are sayed in Colossians 1:16. Funny is that Collosians 1:15 they use ase proove text of Christs being created beeing applying meaning of "firsborn" as "firstcreated" (as if to born is to create) ignoring context, which demands that this "firstborn" should be rendered in sense of superiority, the one who is over all!
