After reading "Ex-Born Again" websites, they say many things like ex-jws
by booker-t ini was curious the other day and just wanted to see what born-again christians that left the fold had to say about their former churches and religions.
it was amazing to see that they say many similar things like ex-jws.
many of these people were ex-pastors, ex-ministers, ex-missionaries.

Strange that you mark "born-again" as one big group with one center like JW. "Born-Again" is very longstretching term!

Well dudes who knows hebrew and koine greek says that the passages and Bible is speaking about trinity. So actualy I don't care about translation if I know original languages. Also basic rule of translation is - if it makes perfect sense, does not seek another sense. So who cares how meny Gods are there, what are their unity or prularity, if translator changes word meaning depending on his religious view, then he is adding his bias into translation, so translation becomes interpretation. But there is difference between translation and interpretation. Grammer is not the only thing what matters in translation, whole context matters. And taking into account that WT does not have real koine and hebrew scholars, why should we even consider their translation as translation?

We allways can use "ask questionts" tactics against JDubs. Normally you will ask... does WT claims about matter of faith and morals qualifies as Word of God. Ofcourse they will say no. Then ask - does dissagreement on calims of WT qualifies as dissagreement on Word of God? In this moment they should be paintend into corner, coz if they say - yes, then they lied to first question. If they say no, then they claim that you are free to interpretate Word of God without listening to WT!

James... but faith is trsut, not work. Read Heb 11 (first verse, and all the chapter) to understand about what faith it is spoken in bible. It is like you are saying that prerequisity for life is - you need to be alive. To believe is not work, to put trust in one doing the work, is not work, it is trust.

How to answer?
by carla inwhen talking to non jw's and telling them that jw's believe everybody else will be destroyed at the big a for not being a jw and they say they just asked a jw this and the jw said that no they don't believe this, how do i answer without going through the 125+ years of literature?
the jw may even say that is a lie spread by apostates to make them look bad or they are evil, couldn't live up to bible standards, ..... you know the drill.

But it is so eazy. If JW tells, that there will be saved ones who are not JW, then ask if then it is ok to not associate with Watchtower... JW will be painted into corner. If he says, you have to be associated with WT, then his previous claim falls, if he tells that it is not necessary to be a dub, then he will speak against his own very commitment and it will make him think what he is saying.

Will I go to hell?
by Anony-Mouse ina freind of mine (over the internet) has been debating with me about whether or not i will go to hell.
being the great freind he is, he says i am absolutely bound for hell, simply because i don't believe in god anymore.
john 3:16,17 says something or other about only people believing will be saved or somesuch.

Well you will be judged by your standard. So you can just applie your own standard to yourself. Will you find yourself sinfull? Do you allways do what is good? Do you ever did something bad knowing it is bad? So if your argument is "I have done meny good deeds", then question, how meny good deeds compensate one bad deed (say killing a person)? If you can come up with some numerical answer then you can applie it to yourself and see if you fit for hell or for Paradise? For Paradise you have to be crystal clear! As water is clean only if it does not have poison. And it does not matter if water has 90% or 1% poison. So you can test yourself against clean standard - God's standard. But just for sake of argument, can you come up with some moral standard which you will pass? Where the standard allows in principle going to hell. Just a thought game! But be sure, anyone who is going to hell will be there coz they deserve it, not because of some mistake!

Why Cant You Just Accept That Its The Truth!
by The wanderer in<!-- .style1 { font-family: verdana, arial, sans-serif; font-size: 12px; } .style2 { font-size: 22px; font-family: verdana, arial, sans-serif; color: #990000; } .style3 { font-family: verdana, arial, sans-serif; font-size: 18px; color: #990000; } --> why cant you just accept that its the truth!problems occur in the jehovahs witness world when an individual decides to think for him or herself.
personally, i suffered a great deal in the truth because of independent thinkingthinking like satan.. what about youre experiences?as a witness, did you feel doubts or questions come into your mind and if you dared, .
voiced your opinion on the matter, were you disciplined for it?

And you are right, there is no problems where no independent thinking present. For example in graveyards!
