Nearly out....

guys, im deliriously happy that im nearly out.. my mind is now free of morbid, gloomy thoughts of the future.

its a freedom that is indeed priceless.. i now feel less need to drink (although im having a beer to celebrate just now)!!

i have been for some time atheist, i doubt it will ever change.

Satan controlling 'the world'

jehovah's witnesses frequently blame the evil in this world on satan and his demons.

god could destroy the devil today if he wanted to but there are reasons why that doesnt happen which i accept.

but if god did destroy the satan the devil today would pedophiles, rapists, murderers, terrorists and natural disasters, etc... cease to exist over night because satan does not exist.

and how meny ex-jw it takes to get one jw out of organization?

Hey. Has anybody thought about how meny JW it takes to convert one non-believer into JW. And how meny EX-JW it takes to get one JW out of organization? Then we could model grouth/decline rates of the organization. BTW is there any measurment of JW as ofcourse their own numbers probably is with additional zero at the end!

ok as you have gathered im a wittness and i for one beleave we have the truth.not saying every thing is or has all ways been right because we live in a imperfect world with imperfect people.but as far as jehovah being god and jesus being his son.and the coming war of arrmegeddon.i would say we have the truth.i no about all the mistakes and misunderstandings we have had in the past.but i feel that is past and we have moved on.and abandoned i no what you all say about the year 607 being wrong but that date all deapends on it desolation was 70 years or not.so im just trying to understand how some of you say you lernt you was being lied to?

Here is Jeremia (Daniel is reffering to him): Jer 25: "Because you have not listened to my words, I will summon all the peoples of the north and my servant Nebuchadnezzar king of Babylon," declares the LORD, "and I will bring them against this land and its inhabitants and against all the surrounding nations. I will completely destroy [a] them and make them an object of horror and scorn, and an everlasting ruin. I will banish from them the sounds of joy and gladness, the voices of bride and bridegroom, the sound of millstones and the light of the lamp. This whole country will become a desolate wasteland, and these nations will serve the king of Babylon

seventy years.

" Now question, what about Jeremia is talking... about land and all surrounding nations or about Jerusalem. And if Daniel is reffering to Jerusalem, is he reffering to Temple, City or Israel. Is allways "Jerusalem" the city?

have you noticed that when jesus christ, the son of god, the lord of lords, said something in the bible that the watchtower society disagrees with, the society will either (1) ignore it almost completely or (2) talk about that scripture, but then, they will twist it around to mean the exact opposite of what he plainly said?.

a good example of this is the insight book (volume 2), page 1,083 ("temple"):on one occasion, when the jews demanded a sign from jesus, he replied: "break down this temple, and in three days i will raise it up.

" the jews thought he was speaking of the temple building, but the apostle john explains: "he was talking about the temple of his body.

PaulE the new ressurected body was controlled by Spirit. It is how thing should be from the begining. That material "dust" body is obidient to Spirit. But by sin all went upwards... body started control Spirit... and it is how things are today! But when we will be restored to the very core... we will be like Jesus Christ who is the first! Spirit will be source of whole power and glory. And see... see cocon and butterfly...

AlmostAtheist... nice playing! Okey about Peters letter. Read whole context and you will notice that it is not contradiction to bodily ressurection, but just one more scripture where WT "life beyond death" doctrine is refuted. Christ was made alive (not rised) in spirit and in this spirit he descended into hell to glorify his victory. Ofcourse nobody can enter hades in body. And in the scriptures 1 Pet 3:22 it is written then after these events in hades he rised and was taken into heaven. Rised he in body. So no contradiction atall...

144000....DO THE NUMBERS ADD UP?????

as jws we were told only 144000 go to heaven from the time of christ right up to this day.it dawned on me before i was baptized one day during my study that the numbers dont add up.

the brother was telling me that the roman persecutions of the christians were killing thousands every week.

initially, within weeks of jesus death, there were 5000 christians at least in jerusalem.

PMJ, read 1 Peter 1:10-11. And you will see that Christ's Spirit was spirit of Prophets also Rev 19:10 See those who lived befor Christ came in flesh still had faith in him, still believed and this faith is the one which saves them too and they are saved because of their faith in Christ before as we are saved after. Christs sacrifice covers whole people in whole world. But we know you do not believe Bible words if their contradicts WT teaching!

PMJ yea, it is pretty obvious their heart... if they are ready to go to death because of Christ, they are very faithfull christians... and this number is FAR over 144000. BTW better go to scripture and read WHERE are the 144000 placed when the seal is put on them. And find out WHY the seal is put on them!
