Here?s another twist; the ?woman? in Rev. 12, might be the same ?woman? mentioned in Rev. 17. The ?woman? began as the Jewish system that produced the ?male child,? the promised Messiah. When the New Covenant became active and the Mosaic Law was terminated, the ?woman? continued as the Christen system. Rev. 12:6 says that she ?fled into the wilderness,? initially under God?s protection; no mention is made that she leaves the "wilderness." However, later, she comes out of the ?wilderness,? but now as a ?harlot? (Rev. 17). This seems to correspond to period when the ?Christian Church? became the state religion, even seating and dethroning Kings.

Thanks Blondie, for your persistent reviews of the Craptower! I read all your reviews, but can?t comment too much, not because I am not interested, but because the pain that surfaces is so great that I have to switch my mind to something else; if I don?t, I?m afraid I?ll need to get special help and lots of drugs (like a large percentage of JW?s currently do, like my brother, an elder (who no longer talks to me), wife, and several of his kids?all on ?happy? drugs). Thanks again for your review, since I no longer read the Craptower.

he?s married, with 3 young children, but is very confused as to what to do, as his family hasn?t been activity supporting the kingdumb hall (i.e., borg)!

However, I feel extremely impelled to speak-out to those I believe might have a listening ear (borderline JW?s and other interested ones), and show them the great deception they?ve been subjected to within "Witnessdumb!" How many have you fine folks are ?preaching? the real ?good news? now, more than when you were a JW?

You?re correct Alan, about UN access to certain areas; evidently, NGO representatives are even allowed to sit in a viewing area when the General Assembly meets! A good friend of mine has a friend who frequently has Ciro (and wife) over for a weekend-getaway, talks about him frequently. Evidently Ciro has bragged about being able to sit in UN General Assembly meetings in the limited seating area reserved for NGO?s!
Regarding the purpose for joining, I wonder if different factions within the JW-System, encouraged joining to advance their own agendas? The reason I bring this up, is that even Johnson, of the Service Department, had his hand in the pot!
Another friend of mine (who had been Assembly Overseer, before his questioning about the UN blew-up in his face!) confronted Johnson in person (this is a another thread that I will post in the future), and he got a similar response as you did when he dared questioned the self-proclaimed, Moses-like authority (as the WT states it), while Johnson was visiting my friend?s congregation. Anyway, why would the Service Department get involved if they didn?t have some stake in it? Just my 2-cents.

Yes, most JW?s ?know? something is wrong! Very few are truly happy! I recalled a worldly-person, or rather (sorry for the JW-speak), a non-JW, asking me ?are you a happy person?? I froze, couldn?t answer, because at the time, I was a very unhappy JW!

Why did I leave after 50 yrs a JW
by londoner ini am not posting this to justify my actions, i am doing so for the benifit of any witnesses who are unsure about there feelings toward the "truth".
i was a reguler pioneer for about 8 yrs, back when it was 100 hours a month, befor thet i did a couple of yrs as a vacation pioneer, they later changed the name to auxilery pioneer, and during the following 20 yrs i had a few intermitant spells as an auxilery when i had time to.
during my pioneer years i have given talks at circuit assemblies and had assignments at district assemblies .

This is a very supportive board and I?m sure you can tell from the comments posted here! I?m a few years younger than you, but I feel exactly the same way as you! Just be glad you got out when you could!I was talking to a good friend of mine, who was a Bethel, in the Writing Department ? let?s just say he was a "heavy." Anyway, he sent me an email a few weeks ago, mentioning a number of phone calls he?s been receiving from European JW?s, looking for a ?way out!? He mentioned one poor soul who was 72 years old and finally figured-out recently that the whole thing was a ?snare and a racket!? So be glad you figured out now, rather than later!
