Mahalo,

yes, it is 6 years today since i entered a kingdom hall for the very last time, and with each passing year this particular "anniversary" gets happier.
even better this time, i have so many people to share it with who have had the same kind of jw experiences as me, in the past the friends i have made since leaving the lie kind of acknowledged it, but didn't really understand, so i just want you all to share in my joy today.

hi everyone, i'm a newly registered member here.
left the witnesses coming up to two years ago, got df about 8 months after that, still struggle with life after the 'truth', feel resentful of it all, but know i'd never return to that brain washing.
anyway hello to everyone one, enjoyed reading posts i've seen so far.. arnie
Welcome “ANIE!”
You sound like a young person, how old are you? Anyway, you are very welcomed here. Most of us have been associated with the organization our whole life! I was an “elder” for many years. Feel free to express whatever you want. This is a place where you are welcomed! You can find comfort here!
Cyber!
when i was rethinking the wts i did most of my research by going back to old books and steering clear of "apostate" material, so i knew the wrong dates, pyramids etc and made my mind up before reading any apostate sites.
when i finally read crisis of conscience i already knew a lot of the information in it, though i still really enjoyed it.
however, even after i knew the wts was a con i still did not have answers for some of the doctrines, like great crowd/other sheep and organisation.
I enjoyed CF much better, but this is only because I read COC first, and had first-hand knowledge of some of the points made in this earlier book (I’m an x-Bethelite, with exposure to some “inside” knowledge). However, CF cemented in my mind, the true nature of Christianity, which I had not understood until reading Ray’s book. JW’s are not Christians, as I’m sure you are aware. However, many on this board no longer support any religious beliefs. This doesn’t disturb me, to each his own, but I’m still searching for truth, and I don’t degrade anyone with their beliefs beyond Watchtower!
hey everyone!
its been one year since i attended meetings of jws!
i've done the slow-fade thing since then, had several road-bumps, but i have no regrets!
Hey everyone! It’s been one year since I attended meetings of JW’s! I've done the slow-fade thing since then, had several “road-bumps,” but I have no regrets! Thank you, everyone that has supported me in this transition! It seems that I’m actually viewed by active/local JW’s as being DF’d/DA’d, although not officially! I guess there isn’t much a difference between being DF'd/DA'd and just "fading" as I would have thought! Go figure! Anyway, love all you folks that have supported me thus far. And thank-you Simon, for making this “board” possible!
Cyber!
" was pharaoh's haughty.
"your heart became haughty".
"-isaiah 2:17.. humble christians--only jws.
I'm still gagging on last week's demonizing of "higher education!" I’m an old timer like you, and I’m extremely upset with this reversal. I still have family in the “O!” However, this week's lesson takes the cake, since I believe the big "O" represents the epitome of haughtiness, especially the GB! Thanks again Blondie! You must have a stomach of steal to deal with this each week!
many here will be familiar with wikipedia.org.
i took the same software and installed it at www.watchtowerwiki.org.
for those who are unfamiliar with wiki's the idea is very simple, anyone can add or edit any content at the site.
Love it, nicolaou! This is wonderful!
what is your view?
is the michael in the bible jesus or someone else?
i've heard and read much debate on this important question, but i would appreciate your views!

Cyber....
i've just been reading an article online about mormons, where when they just leave the church there is a department that tries to track them down to try and get them to return to the faith.
has the jws ever done this?.
"we could use more volunteers," said price.
Gadget,
To your basic question, I'd say YES! But former JW's can use it as an opportunity to help the few honest-hearted ones to see the real truth! My 2-cents!
i added some blondie-like comments this week.
kind of fun.
13 daniels enemies slyly asked darius: is there not an interdict that you have signed that any man that asks a petition from any god or man for thirty days except from you, o king, he should be thrown to the lions pit?
blondie,
You kill me! hehe! love-it!
is the product you're selling one of partial acceptance of the watchtower's teachings?
in that case, which parts do you suggest we accept and which do we reject?
or is the product you're selling one of full acceptance of the watchtower's teachings?
Yes "Steve2", you step on the "we-we" of the so-called WT "scholars!" What else do you expect? Of course "they" agree with all the false teachings that they can stomach! Let's watch them vomit! Here it comes...
