  Where is AuldSoul???

  does anyone know anything about auldsoul?

  i have been so busy the last few months that i hardly have time to play on my pc.

  i just did a post history on him and see he hasn't posted since early april.

  Most Ex-JWs R Not Active in the Anti-JW Community. Maybe 1%? Any thoughts?

  yesterday i called a family on the west coast that were in my congregation 18 years ago.

  between parents, kids and marriage partners, there were six of them who had been witnesses.

  they have all faded, and have had nothing to do with the witnesses for at least 15 year or more.. yet, none of them is in any way active even in looking at the ex-jw sites online.

  My preference would be to move on and become an Ex-X-JW. In reality I don't see that as a possiblity as the vast majority of my family are all j-dubs and always will be. The cult runs deep into my family for 5 generations. Those, like me, that are viewed as apostate are cut off from the majority. I just don't see that trend ever changing among my family.

  When the time is right, I will become more involved in the anti-jw movement. First of all it's my style to do that. I've always hated bullies, and I put the j-dubs and the organization into that category. When in High School, I always stood up to bullies. Now, as an adult, I've found a new bully that needs an ass-kicking.

  The reason I haven't stepped up my anti-jw activity is because it would completely tear my family apart. Right now I'm only partially shunned, meaning that my family limits their association with me, yet remains in contact. My dad has for the most part, put this family back together. Granted, he did do it through use of 'force', by telling my mom that if everyone shuns me, then he will divorce her and move out here to california. If I were to undermine what my dad has done, then I believe it would put an enormous amount of guilt on him as he would blame himself for failing to keep the family together as one unit. I'm just not willing to do that to my dad. For all he has done for myself and the family, it would be disrespectful for me to 'throw him under the bus'.

  That being said, I do take part in passive anti-witnessing. Through my business I am meeting with customers at their homes or businesses and often times there are witnesses in the area.. I use the j-dubs presence to start an anti-jw conversation with my customer. I keep it brief, but in summary I inform my customer of the realities of being a j-dub, such as shunning, blood doctrine, information control, breaking apart of families, etc.

  does anybody know or have any idea?

  my niece told me that they've reduced the district conventions (english speaking as far as i know) by two this year.

  is there already a post on this somewhere?

  I don't have any exact numbers but I do have to agree that there doesn't seem to be that many english conventions when you consider the population here.

  When I was browsing the conventions scheduled here in SoCal, I immediately thought to myself that the # of english conventions was low.

  i had been away from the forum for about a month - during the time that he posted his threads about being confronted by his parents, and eventually submitting his da letter.. him and i had hit it off and were corresponding via pm before he departed, but i never got a chance to get any contact information from him.

  does anyone here have an email address or cell phone number that i could reach him at?

  i would love to get to talk with him again.

  now, i do use some profanity but it is always controlled.

  I agree. Just about any one of us can get a hold of a Kingdom Ministry without a lot of effort. The same will be true of the Kool-aid copy of the watchtower. On the other hand, maybe I can make some pretty good $ selling the kool-aid copies on ebay to all you naughty apostates.

  i'll start with my congregation....... there have been about 7 disfellowshippings in my congregation alone within the last year.

  over half the congo is inactive and many more are irregular pubs.

  young people in the congo are dropping like flies.

  i posted here a couple of months ago, or less.

  my home computer crashed and they cracked down on messageboard sites at my work, so the work laptop was out.

  plus, i just felt emotionally burned out and just didn't want to think about it anymore.

  Your self esteem must be awfully low for you to believe that this bankrupt, jw, a$$hole is the best that you could ever do.

  If you do choose to spend your life with this guy, be sure to get knocked up right away. It would be the ideal thing to do considering his financial success and most importantly

  the wonderful, loving example he can instill into your children.

  Can a JW have a relationship with a non-JW(me)

  if the girl is baptized already really into it, is there any way she could build a relationship with me?

  do i even have a chance to develop something with her or is it just a castle made of sand?

  Don't do it.

  You can forget about normal things such as birthdays, holidays, voting/politics, hobbies and events that involve a majority of worldly(non-jws) people.

  Much of her time will be spent at 5 meetings per week at the kingdom hall. She's required to spend time each month preaching, and that will include preaching to you as her ultimate goalis to convert you to the religion(cult).

  Let's also discuss some more serious topics that could involve your life or shall I say death. If you are ever to need a blood transfusion and it is up to your j-dub wife to make the decision as you are incapicitated, then you can pretty much kiss your ass goodbye. J-dubs are required to refuse blood based on whatever their current blood doctrine is at that particular time.

  How about kids? Will you allow your j-dub wife to raise your kids as witnesses that will in turn be taught to view you as a dead person. Your children could eventually choose to shun you or at least limit their association with you due to your status as a worldly person(non-jw).

  My jw wife tells me that she loves jehovah more than she loves me. She tells me that if she has to choose only one, she will choose jehovah over me. Are you prepared for that type of relationship? Are you willing to play 'second fiddle' to jehovah?

  Are you ok with having some of your money donated to the kingdom hall. This can come in the form of your jw wife driving a certain type of car for preaching(a 4 door is desirable). She may be the type that donates 100 dollars to them every month. Are you ok with that?

  If you don't convert to a witness, then you will most likely be excluded from associating with her friends and family. They try to avoid any and all contact with non-believers, so you will basically live a separate life from your wife when it comes to her friends and associates.

  Does all of this sound good to you?

  I'm just scratching the surface here. I spent all of a few minutes typing this out. Give all of the excellent posters on this board an opportunity to reply you will be overwhelmed with examples of the hardship and hurt that non-jws experience due to the cult behavior of their jw spouses.

  My suggestion for you:
