i think it would be of real benefit, especially to those who cautiously peek in on the site (aka, lurkers), to be able to select from an index of subject matter.

there would be a subject reference address for the beginning of those threads that discussed the subject and include some special posts that were of particular quality in the realm of the jwd site.

BIG ELDERS MEETING ON THE BLOOD ISSUE! SHOCKING CHANGES AFOOT!?

i have just been informed that something is going in with the blood issue within the borg.. a large meeting is being held this weekend with local elders and also many elders from all over the country/the united kingdom and members from the bethel and hospital liason committee to discuss the blood issue.. is anyone else aware of what this is going to be about?.

i wondered whether this would be part of the expected or possible changes that the organization is expected to announce this year that might lose them many members.

any elders here know anything?.

What is still hypocritical about the whole thing is (and even my wife has no answer to it): is that Its "OK" for a witness to accept blood fractions which come from blood that some "worldly" person was kind enough to donate in the first place. NOW ask why a witness cant give blood???? In other words, It is OK for a witness in an emergency to accept blood fractions from blood to save his neck, but NOT OK to reciprocate and donate blood to help someone else in need! Do you smell "Double Standard" here?

yep my fade has come to a stop, got the phone call off my dad today he asked me if i celebrate christmas and birthdays and i said yes, and so he said they are going to go ahead with the disassociation letter i sent over two years ago!!!!..

he said that after today the only phone calls i will get are if there is an emergency, but nothing social my response to that was well you havnt seen or spoken to me for over a year im used to it.. he also said there was no bad feelings and that i should never doubt there love for me, and that the stupid thing of it is they can associate with mike and the kids just not me.. im really happy and calm about it, ive had my initial cry over it, and now i feel good that i dont have to lie and hide things anymore.. its such a relief.. luv ya all.

(((Es))) I am glad for you. I was so glad when it was over for me as well. I no longer have to live a lie. Its a great feeling. The feeling of Christian Freedom. You know its kinda funny, someone who never has been a witness can be the worst person in the world (ie:drunk, fornicator, lier etc.) and yet your father will say hello to that person in a supermarket, but turn his head on his own daughter in that same supermarket. Makes you wonder Es. As my brother always says to me; Always look forward, never back.

she recently went on a rant about how i need to go to meetings and that she knows the wts is not perfect but its the closest thing.

she kept trying to gode me into spilling everything... i simply put it to her in an illustration and it made her really think.... in response to her telling me that its the closest thing to the truth i told her my feelings: "if i was eating a peice of delicious chocolate... and then the baker told me she picked up dog poop with her bare hands and didnt wash them before she made them... would you still eat it?

sure it still may taste good, but would continue to eat it?".

consider the scene: jesus has just been baptized and immediately leaves for an extended stay in the wilderness all on his lonesome.

now ... already this is something the governing body would discourage any jw from doing, but i digress.. along comes satan.

jesus knows it is satan, because of how satany he is.
