  Jehovahs Witnesses WHY do you now accept blood Transfusions?

  to any jehovahs witness reading this i ask....do you really "abstain from blood?

  " the bible makes a clear statement at acts 15 doesn't it?

  yet today hemophiliac jehovahs witnesses can use "worldly" blood for their clotting treatments which may use 10 bags per treatment.

  It really shouldn't matter if the fractions come from a nice "worldy donor", if the witnesses hold to what the bible says they should refuse ALL forms of blood and or fractions thereof. Reason being that when blood leaves the body its to be poured out on the ground according to scripture. It's a shame they can't see how foolish the WTS belief is here. Ray Franz wrote in his book "In search of Christian Freedom" that accepting fractions was like having a ham sandwich. The witness can have the ham, the cheese or the bread, but not all at the same time. So sad.

  12 ex-JWs at church yesterday...

  as reported elsewhere on the forum, there were 12 ex-jws at our baptism service yesterday.

  twelve.. it was quite an experience to hear about an ex-jw who had moved to another part of the country and had written down 150 names of jws in the area of glasgow she was originally from and had started praying for all those names last summer.

  two of the people on her list were at the church yesterday, with their wives and children.

  The Trinity: God the Father and God The Son

  i had been discussing the trinity with someone the other day (hence the topic on i am) and this person alluded to the idea that jesus was saying he himself was jehovah.. well, it occurred to me last night:.

  in the doctrine of the trinity, isn't jehovah considered god the father and jesus is god the son?

  or am i not understanding the doctrine properly?.

  I too since leaving the WTS have had trouble with the trinity doctrine. Too many things don't make sense when reading the scriptures if one believes in the trinity. OK we all know many scriptures that make it seem that Jesus is separate from the Father. But here is a new one that I came across the other day when reading Mark. Mark 1:23-25. Here Jesus went into a synagogue to teach. There was a demon possessed man there. The demon spoke to Jesus saying " I know who you are". Well just who did this Demon say Jesus was? Think about this for a moment. This demon who once was an angel in heaven for who knows how many millions of years, must have been in the presence of God and Jesus many many times. So WHO did this demon say Jesus was? He said, "You are the Holy one sent FROM God". Now why wouldn't he say I know who you are, you are the Holy God? Little things like this make me not believe in the trinity. Just my 2 cents worth.

  i replied "jeff, i simply do not believe that it's going to happen in my life time.

  Good job Mary. It brings back memories of when the PO of my congo called me to "encourage" me to come back to meetings. I told him of all the things I had researched about the WTS. The Mexico/Malawi scandal really bothered me. The CO was coming to my congo that next week. He said that he would bring the CO over the house to look over the info I had. GUESS WHAT?? They NEVER SHOWED UP! So much for helping a straying sheep. Wasn't long after that I was DF'd.

  Hi PP, The WTS uses the excuse that they joined to have access to thier Library. Guess what? They never had to join to have access. Anyone up till 9/11 could use the Library without joining the UN. After 9/11 this changed. One of our members emailed the UN about this and got an email back explaining this in detail. Her name on the forum is Blueyedblonde. If you can't get ahold of this email from her, just PM your email to me and I will send you a copy of the email from the UN. Hope this helps.

  Many Thanks to ALL of You for your support. My mom was living with my wife and I for the last 8 yrs. She was not in good health. We had many special memories shared during her last years. A day hasn't gone by since her passing that I haven't cried from time to time. Listening to certain songs on the radio that we used to sing together. We used to like to watch Lawrence Welk on Saturdays nights and the closing song for each show was "Goodnight". We would look at each other and sing the words. Now they have even deeper meaning to me. "Goodnight, sleep tight until we meet again" It makes me want to cry just typing it. Thanks again everyone.

  it is just me or almost every witness you know has some pirate dvd movies and cds?

  i was visiting a pioneer today and she has several ripped dvds.

  stealing is not a sin anymore, or am i being too judgmental?

  i tried downloading it from one site but it said i needed to buy a special program in order for it to run..... does anyone have a copy that they could burn?.
