  Would Jesus have done a better job than Jehovah?

  in the bible, the god of the old testament seems to be so harsh and unforgiving, while jesus seems so nice.... makes me wonder if jesus would have been god almighty, if the world would be a better place today?.

  If the god of the OT is the same god of the NT, he mustve gone under some real serious psycho-therapy!!! I mean Prozac by the barrels...

  Then again the answer is easy... none are god... they are yet the perceptions and reflection of egotistic bloodthirsty humans... and yet lots of people look up to these as the word of god.. there is no worse blind than he who refuses to open his eyes...

  From another point of view, helluva job of marketing... over 4000 years and still some suckers buy their crap...

  i read an e-mail forward today, it was a really great idea i plan to implement this weekend.

  basically take how many years you think you wil live (beyond now), multiply that times 52, and get that many marbles and put them in a jar.

  every weekend, take one out.

  i don't mean the ones we know about already - things people wouldn't think you did or enjoyed to look at you.. i love watching ray mears extreme survival and learning about how to survive and find food and shelter in extreme climates even though there is a strong possibility that i shall never try and escape naked from a japanese prisoner of war camp, or crash without a flagon of water into the sahara, or come stuck in my ship in a freezing ice plateau in deepest antartica.

  If they are the same character, this guy went into major rehab!!! I mean big time prozac soloft etc etc etc... more like a lobotomy if you understand what I'm saying...

  This issue in itself should be more than proof that the book is just that.. a book that reflects the humans that wrote it...

  At this age and time it is unbelievable that people still look up at the ideas of nomadic primitive people as the infallible word of 'god'...

  The real deal is not what you believe... is WHY you believe it... I mean if you want to dance naked around a cowpie and light candles and chant... youre entitled to it... but dont go around condemming the people who dont do as you do...

  again people should ask themselves Why do I believe this or that.. what evidence... etc etc... If after doing that research you still want to dance naked around the cowpie... go ahead!!

  i saw in cognac's thread that she used this scripture regarding something having to do with fornication.

  So, if 2 people have intercourse before they are married the apostle paul was stating that was not a sin.

  To clarify, scripturally, once the man and the woman have sexual intercourse, they have become one flesh, and so at that point they are married.

  Now, if afterwards, one partner has sexual union with another, they are guilty of the sin of adultery / fornication.

  The obvious exception would be in the case of divorce.

  Dust on my keyboard

  the sun is shinning on my keyboard, and i can see all the keys i use and the ones i don't use because of the visible dust on my keys.... those with dust on them that i don't use:.

  i use all the letters from a to z. i don't use the f1 to f12 keys.

  i don't use the numbers on the right hand side .
