You know I went round and round with a JW visiting my home about, accepting information from worldly historians, but rejecting them when it doesn't fit JW way of thinking.
For the life of him, he either couldn't or wouldn't accept the fact that if accepts one date, then he would have to also accept the other dates. He would then say well the JW use their own calculations and I would counter from where there are no dates in the bible to confirm 607.

nevr realized 1914 depends totally upon worldly historians...
by oompa in...and archaeologists.
saw awhile ago on a post about historically uncovered evidence of times and kingdoms past...and it was mentioned there are no dates in the bible.
ok, i'm little slow, but any interrupted date dub have depends on these bonediggers a lot.

by GramblingMan incan someone help me out here, i have been going back and forth with the jw study, regarding 586/607, from reading what has been written here and visiting the library.. i have been able to present what i understand.
now he is saying that the jw also were able to locate the date for the fall of jerusalem based on the kings of isreal.
i serious doubt it, he should me the list of jews kings in the "insight on the scriptures" but could tell me how they arrived at the start date for the 1st king.

Yes he has taken a stance and marched because of it. So because he didn't ask for them to be fired from the label makes it less credible? He has been very vocal and public, about how he feels about the current state of rap music.

Regarding negative rap music, MTV/BET and the people who sell it are control by money. You do understand a very high % (I think over 70%) who buy rap music are white teenagers and young adults. Rap music didn't start out negative and by and large it isn't, what you are hearing and seeing is what sell to the mainstream.

Confession,
I'm not a Sharpton fan but what you say about Sharpton not taking a stand against negative rap music isn't true. The media just hasn't covered it, like this incident. Also whore/ho didn't start with rap music. I know for a fact that early 70 movies (black explotation films) were using the word and it's safe to say that the word was in use before hollywood got to it.

Those who enter paridise, how are their sins paid for?
by drew sagan inthe wts teaches that when an individual physically dies he is 'aquitted' or 'set free' from sin.
the verse they use to support this view is romans 6:7 which reads: .
7 for he who has died has been acquitted from [his] sin.. .

Hey Drew,
I have been meaning to post this question on here, but I have been going back and forth with this JW that comes by my house, regarding this verse. I just can't see how you can apply it so simply and then disregard Revelations 20:12. He said that this verse was talking about the 1000 years but I showed him that the dead didn't live until a 1000 years was finished. We went in circles.

MY OBSERVATIONS FROM THE MEMORIAL TONIGHT (just got home)
by Mary inwell, as per usual, the memorial talk bored the hell out of me, but i found it, in one way to be an improvement over last years when they had the most boring speaker on the planet there http://www.jehovahs-witness.com/6/111544/1.ashx this guy at least knew how to speak.
unfortunately, he didn't have much of a script to work with.. there was the mention of adam sinning and mankind needing a redeemer etc., no mention of when the israelites left egypt though.
that's probably the first year i've ever seen where this hasn't been mentioned.

Mary that sure sounds like the one I attended here in Washington, I couldn't believe how this guy was jumping around the bible and taking things out of context. LOL. I was like am I the only one who can see what going on here? You sure we were not at the same one, LOL

heaven/earth
by GramblingMan inok someone help me out here, from reading 1corinthians 15:35-58. it appears that paul's letter is to the whole church.
i draw the conclusion from this that the resurrected body is for everyone.
well the jw that came by says that all of the church of corinthia was annointed so that's why they have a heavenly hope.

Well the JW that came by says that all of the church of Corinthia was annointed so that's why they have a heavenly hope. This doesn't seem right, am I reading the letter to the corinthians wrong?
Also he ask me what happens to the earth if we all go to heaven, I didn't have an answer for that question.
Can some explain Isaiah 65?
Thanks
