I might could have manouvered around some of the books but this one would make me barf.
i admit it, i made fun of the mormons along with the rest of the jws.
we always though it was really funny that they were following the instructions in "the book of the mormons" which is the 2nd verse of the new testament given to their 16 y/o prophet by god and jesus christ.
imagine that any religion could place any co-called "holy book" on the same plane as the bible!
I have thought about this I thought the Mormons were nuts too until I realized that I was being just as much of a nut.
i believe it will be sooner than many of us perhaps think, in the western world at least.. i noticed in a thread the other day about baptism that the longest most people raised as jws waited to get baptised was the age of 18, and most got dipped well before that age.
the last few assemblies i attended, just about all the baptismal candidates seemes to be young and even pre teen kids of jws who had been pressured into baptism by their parents and congregation elders.
i can hardly remember the last person to come in to my old cong through being contacted in the field ministry, unless it's happened in the 18 months since i stopped attending, which i very much doubt.
who knows if even these countries will have the internet in the next few years

As long as there are 3rd world countries without the internet, there will be adult baptisms.
okay, so in line with the concept of the movie pay it forward, how can jws best save the most people?.
(1) murder is a sin.. (2) people who are repentant of sins are forgiven.. (3) people who go to hell (the common grave of mankind) are still alive in god's eyes, just sleeping.. (4) ergo, if a jw sends someone to hell the jw hasn't sinned.. now, that gets the basic doctrine stuff out of the way.. if every jw kills one thousand non-jw people there will be about 6,000,000 jws left.
if every one of these repents over the deaths of whichever ones didn't go to hell, they will have saved way more people than they ever can by preaching.. and, if by chance they miss out on everlasting life by helpig someone else to attain it: no greater love has any.... any questions?
I wasn't afraid of death, in point of fact at that point in my life I would have welcomed it, but my point to them (which naturally flew past their little grey cells) was why do I want to be believe or worship any god who just because (1) he's bigger and stronger than me; and (2) threatens me with death unless I do what he wants?
That's exactly how I felt when I left. I just decided that if I only had a chance of making it anyway, I might as well do whatever I wanted without regards to morals and be happy at least in this life. Then I soon learned that the God of the Bible is not mean like that at all. Now that I worship Him, I am much happier.
i know a few here have and do so - i have listened to tons of the audio testimonials and have even had one poster here offer me a place to stay should i decide to go in october.
i just might go this time.. wnfj= witnesses now for jesus [ mostly former jw's and mormons] .

Last year was my first time. I had no idea what to think I was going to. I enjoyed it much more than I thought I would for sure. Listening to others is definately the best part of it all.
Imagine a circuit convention where the talks are actually comical and interesting. You can really realate to what they are saying and it all makes since to you. It gives you a fuzzy feeling to hear about the expriences of others and to hear some Biblical topics presented in a way you can actually understand. (like to hear someone talk about the name Jehovah or the ressurrection in terms you understand for a change.) But the good part is that you can come and go as you please. If you are tired in the evening, feel free to go take a nap and come back later. You can wear blue jeans and casually sit back in the chair.
Your cabin probably won't be very far away from the convention part. You get to eat three meals there. Buy a meal ticket in advance. They like to get a count of how much food to prepare. The scenery is absolutely beautiful. The leaves turn that time of year and it is SO beautiful. You might find the bookstore interesting. You can rent sheets and towels for extra but the accomodations are quite primitive. Bring everything you can think of. There is no TV, blow dryer, soap ....
I enjoyed more than anything the people there to talk with. Everyone has such an interesting story. It feels like a reunion with long lost friends even though you've never met them. It just feels like home. You kinda feel like an outsider everywhere else but around these people, you feel at home.

Yeah I play too. I think I'm about to quit though. It sucks too much time away and I really don't want to spend more money on the expansion. My fiancee plays though and he's excited about the expansion. I guess I'll be single for about a month! LOL

7 Genesis 3:15 speaks next of “the woman.” Was this Eve? Possibly she thought so. (Compare Genesis 4:1.) But a long-lasting enmity between Eve and Satan became impossible when Eve died more than 5,000 years ago. Further, since the Serpent addressed by Jehovah is an invisible spirit, we should expect that the woman also belongs to the spirit realm. Revelation 12:1, 2 confirms this, indicating that thisfigurative woman is Jehovah’s heavenly organization of spirit creatures.—See also Isaiah 54:1, 5, 13.

Wouldn't it make a lot more sense that Eve is Mary? And the one doing the bruising is Christ?
