Ok, so what does it say about those of us who don't read or post on those threads?
Nothing at all.
Here's a bit of history: Very early on, JCanon made a typical chronology post, and I was quite impressed! I thought this fellow had really gathered a whole bunch of extra-JW info, and I was intrigued. JanH posted right back and informed me about the background, and a couple other folks I know confirmed the history. That, of course, changed my stance, and for a long time I totally avoided such threads.
Then, with a degree of frustration, I started here and there to post little snide remarks about such posts, in spite of otherwise suggesting that we all just ignore such posts, and "they" will go away.
Well, in all honesty, I was being hypocritical, wasn't I? Which is why I posted my last:
Perhaps our reaction to such posters is more a test of our own character than of theirs? Rather like a touchstone?
Perhaps my point would have been more clear if I'd said "my own character."
