It's easy for me to get caught up in the fever of the moment. I/we don't want to compromise ourselves by getting caught in unsubstantiated assertions that detract from the real issues, or from our own credibility.

as an elder i had to investigate allegations made.
by people claiming "satanic abuse".. please be careful accepting this stuff at face value.. you can end up looking very stupid when exactly zero.
evidence is found.

I've never been in jail, though I was a project engineer at a prison and worked side by side with inmates during construction. I can't imagine what you have been through, but the main point is...you are out now, and I hope things go well with you from here on.
You'll find a lot of great support here.

just got this from a real well informed, clear thinking, "sister" (?

the subject of dreams has been talked about frequently as part of the recovery process when something traumatic or life altering happens.. i just thought it might be of interest to share the path of my dreams over the last year, to those who may be going thru leaving the organization.. all my life i had the armeggedon dreams, but i was always safe.
when i left the borg, i still had the armeggedon dreams but this time i didnt make it.
and i was responsible for my family too.
I've been dreaming a lot lately, but not about the borg!
.
good afternoon 2 everyone who went out in service this morning?.
ambush the wineisterial servant.
What business is it of yours if I got serviced this morning?
this is an update on my earlier post about the treatment my son is getting from the elders, posted here:.
http://www.jehovahs-witness.com/forum/thread.aspx?id=37408&site=3.
well, benjamin informs me that today his mum drove him to the sunday meeting and kept him in the car until the meeting started, and then took him straight out after it had finished, so that the elders couldn't talk to him.. apparently an elder saw my wife in the street and approached her, but she told him to get stuffed (politely) but he informed her of what they intend to do.. it will be officially announced from the platform that benjamin no longer qualifies as an unbaptised publisher.. where do these bastards learn to be such bullies of children?
Bad of them....GOOD FOR YOU!!

ted jaracz should resign so as not stumble any other faithful witnesses.. at least:.
according to wt rules ted jaracz should be removed from all appointed duties if an accusation of "rape and molestation" is brought against him.. it should be demanded of him!.

1 Tim. 3:2 states that an elder should be "irreprehensible (Gk. anepileptos)." As Trench says, anepileptos means "...affording nothing which an adversary could take hold of, on which he might ground a charge..."
This is not the same as 1 Tim. 5:19 "Do not admit an accusation (Gk. kategoria) against an older man, except on the evidence of two or three witnesses." Vine comments kategoria has "...chiefly to do with judicial procedure..."
Well, a charge has been publicly made, and, according to 1 Tim 3:2, Jarazc should step aside until this matter is cleared. OTOH, according to 1 Tim 5:19, he deserves the right of "innocent until proven guilty."

that's right.....i am so excited.
filthy bought tickets to take me to a concert.......bb king and kenny wayne shepherd today!
it happens to be in an outdoor auditorium and unfortunately it is a little overcast and chilly-but i look at it as more reason to "cuddle" up under a blanket and listen to some great blues music!
Scooter, that is way cool!
I was in Memphis some years ago, caught BB at his place on Bourbon Street....man, those guys can really get the bones hopping!
I have a tape of King Daddy, a solo blues guy that was playing around the corner. Ever heard of him? Would you like a copy? (Will trade you for some pickles )

labor savings
textbook publisher moves to automation
Interesting thought, Devon.
Just for kicks, ran a few numbers, to see how much impact this might have. Assuming this new process saves one minute of handling per book, then a total of 16,700 mh would be "saved" for each 1,000,000 books printed. This equates to about 8 Bethelites for a full year.
I don't know how many books the org prints each year. Also, I never worked in the bindery/shipping departments, so I don't know if my "1 min per book" assumption is valid.
I'm thinking, though, that this new machinery accounts for only a small part of the downsizing.
