Beards,Tatoos and Body Piercing !

it sure is nice to have the freedom to enjoy some of the simple things in life without having a guilt trip.. i remember when i was in the non-truth and i would go on vacation i would always use the oppurtunity to grow out my beard, of course my wife would insist that i shave before anybody from the hall saw me.. now i keep a full beard and it cracks me up when i run into people from the hall and when they talk to me they seem to not be able to not stare at my beard.. i cant wait to get me a tatoo.

I dont have any recent pics...guess I should take one and scan it. For now I have:

1)Shaved Head -ala Yul Brenner, Telly Savalas, Samuel L. Jackson

2) Pierced tongue -barbell style *twirl twirl click click*

3) Tattoo on my right shoulder in the emblem of the Flash (lightning bolt thru a circle)

4) Sometimes I sport on my face: A patch, or goatee, or handlebar.

My dress code: Ain't got one. Variety of styles, whatever suits the day I suppose. Can be wearing Khaki Pants and a dress shirt, and next day wearing baggy jean shorts with oversized flanel shirt, only to dress the next day in my Bomber Jacket-White T-Shirt and Jeans. I love the freedom of choice.

Music: Don't laugh. Really. You will. Classic Music. No not elevator-shopping mall-Barry Mannilow stuff. The REAL Classics. Mozart, Bach, B-hoven, etc. And modern movements of the Cinema- J.Williams, Horner, etc. Stop laughing. No really, stop. :)~

Thank you for RE-ENFORCING the fact that JW's are callous, cruel, and uncaring when it comes to biofamily relationships as per view to the WTBTS. You are a fine asset to the borganization on this point.

Thank you, for showing your IGNORANCE in a situation you don't understand, and have the small mind and audacity to criticize. WTBTS just luuuvs to point their finger dont they? All the while ignoring the 3 pointing right back at them.

This is where I draw my line with people like you. Ashitika revealed something personal, something only HIS family understands. Sure, most of us have SIMILAR experiences...and to each of us they are different and personal. There's an inherint diversity in each situtation that each person experience is their own.
But I can see you as a person that (who claims to represent the WTBTS view) really doesn't "give a crap" what your foot steps on or in.

My suggestion to you is, STFU. STFU now. You're only making the point that your being a "dick". Insensitivity at this level only leads others to view you as an asshole.

Before you go in to a "this topic is an open game for me to respond", let me point out...Ashitika had made no mention to YOU in this topic. He made no mention of YOUR FAMILY in this topic. Yet you take the liberty to bash/flame HIS FAMILY sitution. This is something I draw the line on. You want to bash people for harping on the WTBTS on other points. That's fine. But when somebody brings their FAMILY in to it...I suggest laying off. Think before you post.

i'll get the ball rolling with mine.

i actually have two, but i will talk about the one that happened at the kingdom hall.

i was about 17 years old at the time.

This one is ****GROSS/RUDE*** you have been ***WARNED***!!!

I was 12 years old. We had gone out to dinner at a mexican restaraunt before attending the public talk. I got a serious case of gas. I would go to the bathroom and do my "buisness" during the "talk". Third time around, my mother said "stop going to the bathroom and listen to the talk". I begged. I pleaded. But my mom refused to let me go. So I ripped the LOUDEST MOST MAJESTIC fart right there in front of 300 people. The speaker even paused, and EVERY single person in the Kingdom Hall looked at me. That had to be the most embarrissing moment! But hey, look on the bright side...after my beautiful music, my mom immeadiately took us home. No more talk, missed the WT study....darn.

Jehovahs spirit on decision to disfellowship

hi all i was thinking about this the other day and how the elders say that they have gods direction when they have judicial meetings, if that is the case and gods spirit is directing their decision then why do they have the allowance for an appeal, after all if god is supposed to be directing them there would be no mistake in the decision right?

Sorry for the language, but dang, it's something that pisses me off about them.

I know I have Samuel L. Jackson (hero of mine) as picture, but to those curious to what pigment my cells are...they are a pinkish-olive color. In common ...I'm white. My wife is mixed Caucasion-African-Brazillian. And she even notices (at a funeral we attended) that some of the "older" Witnesses (who didn't have the freakin decency to whisper) make an issue about us being a mixed couple.

For you apologists and lurkers...BIGOTRY DOES exist with some of your members.

since we have people from all over the world in here what was the opinion on sisters wearing trousers to the meetings and in field service, in the cong i used to go to it was frowned upon very heavily, although we could find no scriptual basis for it, was anyone allowed to wear them?

When that is the case, care has to be exercised not to wear a style that would make it difficult to distinguish a man from a woman.

Of course! No one in the congregation would dare look at someones "chest area" to determine whether or not one had "breasts" or not....

Last, but not least, her quiet, mild, modest manner should shine through to others and her clothes should be a reflection of such modesty.

Been playin PC Games since the 80's

zork i-iii ---a heck, any infocom game from the late 70's to early 80's (oh those days of text adventures, and they kept me up all night).

Yep yep...Bards Tale. I remember mapping out on paper the towns and dungeons on that one. I missed a "gap" between Mac to IBM 386's in my gaming career. Console gaming was more a primary play for me in that period.

Contradictions in the WT articles started my doubt. So I did what the Society asked: "Investigate" and I did. Noticing the Contradictions lead me to Omissions. Omissions in quotes, articles, and WTBTS history. Omissions led to fear, fear led to hate, and hate led to suffering.(whoops, sorry, watching The Phantom Menace while typing this--please disregard). *Cough* Ahem...anywayz...It was the published material itself of the WTBTS that led me to doubt.
