We have young girls turning out for their high school football teams, which is worse.Worse? Worse then what? An athletically gifted person trying out for a Home Economics class instead? Again...segregating sexes. Okay for boys, but not for girls.
We have young girls swaggering around basketball courts as though a team doctor has been giving them testosterone injections.As opposed to those NBA-NCAA male basketball stars, MOST of them who DO swagger around WITH steriod injections. Please notice the author did say "AS THOUGH a team doctor has been giving...".
Problem here is, the author's view of how the female sex is to be attractive is whether it's in his realm of opinion on what is "feminine". Apparently a woman with a toned body, or muscular look doesn't float his boat, and doesn't consider this accetable.

Also, if he or his sons are butt ugly, women will not have that "competitive" fram of mind ...and find some one much more appealing.
Further, they must ensure that it does relate. It is also incumbent on any young woman involved in any sport to be able to articulate why she is there. It is necessary for her to be able to say how her style of play, how her approach to competition, differs markedly from how boys compete.

At the same time, we must learn to think like Christians, and consistently make distinctions. We should challenge what the world says, and be willing to modify our behavior based upon what the Scriptures require of us. And when it comes to our daughters in sports, there is a lot to modify.I'd rather challenge what the author says in this article.
I am thinking like a "Christian" and accepting my fellow humans to be capable in any persuit they endevor in, including sports. And regardless if one has a penis or vagina...has nothing to do with ones achievements in the athletic or intellectual departments of one's life. It's a matter of Mind and Heart.
I challenge not what the "world" says, but what the author is saying here. Scriptures tell me, that the author is FULL OF CRAP!

growing up as a witness can do strange things to people, especially in a sexual sense.
i'd be embarraassed to recount some of the stories and experiences about sex that i've seen and heard dealing with young witnesses.. it seems that there are quite a few marriages that have taken place with younger witnesses simply to satisfy sexual urges.
after the inital curiosity has been satisfied a lot times young couples realize that they made a terrible mistake which often leads to a variety of different problems.. currently i find myself in a similar situation.
Currently I find myself in a similar situation. Although I'm not dealing with any particular stressful marital problems I am however realizing that marriage was'nt the best choice for me. (at least at this particular time in my life) Even as a boy I've had a tendecy to seek out solitude and now that I'm approaching my 30th year of life I have that same desire. I would'nt consider myself to be anti-social by any means, but I really enjoy the pleasures of having time alone.
Oh man, this is the the time when it's RIPE for the luv-bug to bite. Just when you get comfortable, when everything is running smoooth...then WAM! Kicked-in-the-Ass-by-Luv---and-I-didn't-see-it-commin theory.
BTW...don't you people hate my "continous, non paused sentences"? (eg. Whoa-my-god-what-the-hell-wuz-that). It's how I speak in RL. ;)

when a witness i was afraid of dying at the big a. now i just fear dying.
From 1990 to 1998 I traveled by plane 48 times. I NEVER had a problem with flying untill Flights 43 and 44.
Flight 43: I was on an old turbo-prop-cargo-converted-to-passenger bucket, St. Paul via Anchorage Alaska. Hit a headwind and the plane did a dive engines sputtering. The pilots were able to pull out at 4000 ft. ....we were lucky. It didn't phase me afterward all that much. Since, due to probability statistics, I would have a better chance of winning a State Lottery then being in "plane crash" situation again.
Flight 44: Anchorage to Prince William Sound. I was on one of those 2 passenger single prop planes. We were nearing the landing strip. There was a low fog, with decent visability. Pilot notifies me that he just got something over his radio, another plane in the area had lost all communications and no one knew where it was. In the distance, we spied a small speck dead center of the windshield. It was the frickin plane heading RIGHT AT US! My pilot pulls to the right, the "lost" plane pulls to it's right...near hit.
At that moment, I realized that "probability statistics" do suck, and experience over rules it. After that, I have had a serious phobia of flying. Flights 46-48 I had to take some *cough* MEDICATION *cough* to get thru those flights. Since 48, I haven't flown, don't want to fly...frankly....I don't think I'm going to get on a plane unless I really really have to.

last year when i read the script for episode 1 months before it was released i was like nah..this cant be the real script.

I asked a similar yet more provocative example to my mother (30 year RnF) and older sister (20 year RnF). I asked: "If the society found it accetable to break the law, by not reporting a pedophile would you think that is right"? Same response to same question from both:

With my experience...I find a great deal of ignorance within the R&F. Don't most of us?
Take for example...here my mom is a JW...for 30 YEARS. She KNOWS how the R&F in the congregation act and react to people who break taboos. They DAMN well know. Now I asked this question:
"If I were to go back to meetings; kept my tongue piercing, shaved head, and handle bar mustache. And by the way, I dont wear suits so I'm showing up in jeans and a T-shirt. I would live a moral and upright life according to the "truth". Would I be accepted? Tolerated? Would people avoid me? Shun me"?
Mom's Reply: "Oh of course NOT! It's totally up to your conscious! The elders, brother and sisters would always welcome you back NO MATTER what you look like".
Me: "Wouldn't they ask me to "change" my looks"???
Mom: "No. No. Never. They would love you for who you are."
What a CROCK OF CRAP! I mean COME ON!!!! We X's all KNOW what REALLY happens! We PRACTICED this collective behavior of ostracization! Yet her we are...Ms. 30 Yrs. R&F giving a very ignorant statement opposed to what REALLY happens. And this is a very COMMON response with R&F's.
It's ignorance. Self and Organizational denial. True R&Fers will always "justify" the obsurd.
But to answer your question:
I don't think the probability of the GB/WTBTS would go as far as indoctrinating your above mentioned behavior.
But then again, if you think about it....if your child is dying and needs a blood transfusion to save it's life? What happens with most of the R&Fers?? Hmm? Child dies. Your decision to end your child life at the whim of doctrine opinion by the GB. So in that light, they already asked for "murder" based on "obscure scripture".
