  Wanting to just FREAKIN run away....I think I know why now...

  the past year or so was year was really, really bad as i came to realize the waking up experience.

  once i knew for sure wt was a sham, (although maybe sincere), i had this immediate feeling i would have to leave.....everything.

  of course my wife was already going nuts from all my study, questions, doubts, letters to society, meetings with elders....but once i really knew and felt i would have to leave.... i did leave several times.

  I went to the furneral...guess who was there?!?!?

  i flew to ca with my dad to go to my brothers furneral.

  i met up with some family members who i've kept in contact with but hadn't seen for a few years.

  i also saw my mom who i purposely have not had contact with for 10 years.

  i have been thinking how useful it would be if we had an independent news site that would basically rival the jw-media page and have the latest jw related news sourced either from individuals/sites such as this one.

  however it wouldn't have a forum.

  any thoughts?

  because of my background with the witless ones, when my husband died it was hard to believe he was in heaven.

  i could hope there is a heaven for those who die.

  that he is in a better place.

  How long before you tell people you were once a Jehovah's Witness?

  most of the people i've met since i left don't know that i spent years of my life as a door knocker.. i have very dear friends who don't know.

  i've even had lovers who didn't know.

  my last partner knew, and found it vaguely amusing.. i guess i find it deeply embarrassing, although over the years it's become easier to mention it.

  i cant think of many relationships/friendships i've had yet where its unknown because most people knew me both before and after.

  this is megan posted on behalf of karl (kw13) account because he is at topic limit.

  basically i have contacted the bbc one show & the sun newspaper regarding the nbc news item in the hope that people in the uk might come across this issue.

  please please please contact the one show, i am not sure whether they are a suitable program to cover this issue but who knows, failing that contact bbc panorama who covered it previously.

  I think the fact you people are trying is fantastic, because once the Society begin on Operation Damage limitation the 'lies' will have gripped all dubs who will accept anything but the true story if there is an option.
