by new boy inthis is in response to the thread about the supposed suicide of a bethelite in 1995.. in 1970 when i went to bethel we signed a form stating that "if we died while at bethel the wathtower bible and tract society had the rights to our body.
yes, we thought it strange at the time but as a twenty year old you didn't think much about it.. i know of two brothers who killed themselfs while at bethel and two others who tried end their lives.
my guess is people have been killing themselfs at bethel long before i ever got there.

Do things on a small budget if it won't affect your chances, for example your Web Hosting - sign up for a cheap package with a company like dreamhost that you can run month to month so you dont have to do a yearly plan and invest money you may never see again.
Do it Legal. Dont take shortcuts 'obtaining' any software or necessities. If it catches up with you its a nightmare you wont get without and it may also end your dream business.
Do not share your idea with people you don't trust, it sounds mad but the more people you tell the more people might become competition - but still ask for needed advice like you are.

I Am Legend JW email
by Descender inso my sister-in-law, who is a pretty hardcore jw, showed me an email that looked like it had been passed around quite a bit, so i figured someone on here had probably seen it.
supposedley it's a picture from the movie "i am legend" where will smith is walking through new york and all the buildings in the background are in ruins except for the bethel building, which stands out, undamaged and clean.
i watched the movie and don't remember seeing anything like that so i just figured that some jw photoshopped it and sent it out to the jw community to show that the bethel building is protected by god even in a post apocaliptical world run over with zombie vampires.

if the building being fine means anything, it means the witnesses are as screwed up as flesh eating zombies...how else would it be ok, i am sure will smith and directors didnt put that much thought into it.

If it turns out not to be a Local issue (on your PC) try contacting your ISP and asking them to reset things their end, i did this and it fixed the same issue.

Finally got Medication for Depression/bipolar
by KW13 inthey've finally given me medication - i am on a low dosage now, usually its 20mg but i am 10mg to see how it goes and then step it up in a week if i feel i need more, but sometimes it can take a month before your body tells you whats happening anyway.. whoo.. had my first tablet this morning, didnt feel brilliant but at least i know i'm not rolling on the floor and stuff lol..

Yeah things are looking good now and i feel a bit off with the medication but nothing like i thought i might, just tired really. House is coming together and everything, i am a lot happier in myself!

thanks your kind words everyone, it really means a lot. I agree that the witnesses make things worse and are probably the cause of the health problems many ex-witnesses suffer.
I intend to finish with meds at some point, i've spent goodness knows how long avoiding them but right now its my last option.
the meds i am on are called Citalopram but the name might vary a little in different countries/places.

our mormon "miracles" are more unexplainable than yours.... one of the many tools used by the morg to keep it's members active is the use of faith promoting stories involving apparent miracles... or the unexplainable.
there are unexplainable stories even in my own family.

Let me share the story of someone who was in jonestown
this is an excerpt anyway..
There were more people than usual at the Sunday service, and forsome reason the church members hadn't brought enough food to feedeveryone. It became apparent that the last fifty people in lineweren't going to get any meat. Jim announced, "Even though thereisn't enough food to feed this multitude, I am blessing the food thatwe have and multiplying it just as Jesus did in biblical times."
Sure enough, a few minutes after he made this startlingannouncement, Eva Pugh came out of the kitchen beaming, carrying twoplatters filled with fried chicken. A big cheer came from the peopleassembled in the room, especially from the people who were at the endof the line.
The "blessed chicken" was extraordinarily delicious, and severalof the people mentioned that Jim had produced the best-tastingchicken they had ever eaten. [Mills, 1979.]

One of the men, Chuck Beikman... jokingly mentioned to a fewpeople standing near him that he had seen Eva drive up a few momentsearlier with buckets from the Kentucky Fried Chicken stand. He smiledas he said, "The person that blessed this chicken was ColonelSanders."
During the evening meeting Jim mentioned the fact that Chuck hadmade fun of his gift. "He lied to some of the members here, tellingthem that the chicken had come from a local shop," Jim stormed. "Butthe Spirit of Justice has prevailed. Because of his lie Chuck is inthe men's room right now, wishing that he was dead. He is vomitingand has diarrhea so bad he cant talk!"
An hour later a pale and shaken Chuck Beikman walked out of themen's room and up to the front, being supported by one of the guards.Jim asked him, "Do you have anything you'd like to say?"
Chuck looked up weakly and answered, "Jim, I apologize for what Isaid. Please forgive me."
As we looked at Chuck, we vowed in our hearts that we would neverquestion any of Jim's "miracles"at least not out loud. Years later,we learned that Jim had put a mild poison in a piece of cake andgiven it to Chuck. [Mills, 1979.]
